The suspected al-Qaida figure nabbed by U.S. special forces in a dramatic operation in the Libyan capital had been living freely in his homeland after his return there three years ago, his family said. Libyas government asked for an explanation Sunday from the United States after the Americans seized Abu Anas al-Libi from a Tripoli street outside his home and whisked him out of the country.
The raid that captured al-Libi was one of two dramatic American raids on the ground in African countries targeting suspected terrorists on Saturday. In Somalia, a Navy SEAL team swam ashore early the same day and engaged in a fierce firefight, though it did not capture its target, a militant suspected in the recent Kenyan mall siege.
The operationsone in North Africa, the other in the Horn of Africawere a startling move to pursue terror suspects directly in two countries mired in chaos where the United States has suffered bloody humiliations in the past.

Why is the AP even reporting this????????
Leave Special Ops alone!!!!!!!
They're trying to show that their hero and Nobel Peace Prize winner is a strong no nonsense leader that will even go after his own muslim brothers if you pi** him off.
The long planned dog wagging was scheduled for during the planned shut down an Obamacare failure. .
Yet the perpetrator of the raid on Benghazi that killed four Americans including the US ambassador now more than a year later is still sipping tea in a Tripoli hotel with US journalists
I understand all this...My point is why are the “perfumed princes” in the Pentagon allowing information about ANY Special Ops operation out into the public...The military should be forcing these fools to shut up.....
Hell, even my parents didn’t know what I was doing in Vietnam....
So the special ops forces can more easily be identified and targeted at a later date.
Boots on the ground — must be an act of war.
Just because they are in the Pentagon doesn't mean they don't worship their master obummer. AP's news sources are from within the Pentagon. A Roach infestation is near impossible to eradicate.
And just what did this accomplish?
Maybe they’re wearing slippers instead.
When your poll numbers take a hit, it’s time to catch a terrorist.
Perhaps the SEALS were wearing flippers. That makes it OK, I guess.
Oh oh. Results don’t matter....intentions do. See, Obama really wants to get after those bad guys. We’ll never know the truth about this. But, if it is even somewhat true, who’s the genius that came up with the idea of a SEAL team doing a mission like this? A withdrawal under fire to swim to safety? We’re lucky the bad guys aren’t running through the streets with dead, naked SEALs. Our admirals and generals have great retirements SPECIFICALLY so that when some dumbass civilian comes up with a stupid idea, the admiral or general can tell the civilian, “That’s a stupid f**king idea. Why don’t you do it?”
The more I think about this, the sicker it makes me.
Hmm.. AP (All Propaganda)byline. This means it’s either an outright lie or high-speed spin on a fragment of truth.
I agree that secret military operations can't be reported on before happening, but how do you keep the world press from reporting news AFTER a military operation in other countries?
