Wisconsin GOP Gov. Scott Walker has decided not follow Washington's order to close several state parks that receive federal funding during the shutdown.
State officials say Wisconsin provides more than half of the parks' funding, so they can be kept open with state money, The Hill reports.
The federal government allotted Wisconsin $701,000 for its state parks in fiscal 2013, which ended Sept. 30.
The state also has opted to disobey a Fish and Wildlife Service order to forbid hunting and fishing on federal lands. State officials said hunting can continue in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, according to The Hill.
Walker instructed his cabinet to "streamline things and make sure services are available," Wisconsin's Natural Resources Secretary Cathy Stepp told The Hill.
"It was his direction that let me pursue this further to find out what rights do we have from the state’s perspective regarding contract language and long-standing agreements, and is there something that we’re legally grounded to do," Stepp said.

My hiking down that trail is no different than my hiking a trail on my own property. There is no impact. That land did just fine with people walking on it here and there before it ever became OUR property.
Remember the state government labor union reform controversy in Wisconsin in March 2011? Obama’s White House coordinated labor union attacks. From around the country, labor union thugs descended on Madison. They helped the teachers unions trash the capitol building and stopped a state government from operating for days.
It was a boldfaced, and of course unreported, impeachable violation of separation of powers for a president to use federal agencies to disrupt state government.
Governor Walker's action this week is a single finger salute to dear leader.
There are a few courageous men out there willing to go toe to toe with Obama,
Cruz, Walker and Rand. All young and all well spoken and intelligent. That is the future of freedom.

Punish severely starting at the bottom. Give a slight measure of mercy to those that talk. Our forefathers made this kind flee their homes in the dead of night in fear. Systems are always created to give advantage to the undeserving. Our justice system is created to protect the corrupt.

Walker is a Saint as far as I’m concerned, doesn’t have the charisma of some politicians but does the right thing.
This is the ticket to defeat these people. Ignore them, use civil disobedience, and move on. The dems are far left whacko communists. You defeat them by not allowing them to bully you!
