Maybe someone can put up a sign saying the government has closed America and Karen will give us a go.

My sister in law headed to the coast this morning... to the right of the current projected (very tentative) landfall.

Karen formed almost exactly where Hurricane Opal started out and is taking or projected to take the exact same path AND hit on the very same day Opal hit.
History appears to be repeating itself here.

Well, maybe the seas will stop rising.
Unless of course, the tinfoil-hat-conspiracy people think the HAARP array is powering the storm...

It’s predicted to briefly go to hurricane, then immediately drop back to tropical storm strength before landfall. The Gulf (and Atlantic in general) doesn’t seem warm enough to support hurricanes for any length of time this year. The other two hurricanes of the season were only at hurricane strength for about one or two days before fizzling.
