As Speaker John A. Boehner (R.-Ohio) struggles with the budget crisis, a Troy, Ohio schoolteacher and Tea Party activist announced Sept. 30 he will challenge Boehner in the 2014 GOP primary.
Joseph D. J.D. Winteregg, who is a founder of the Ohio Accountability Project, a grassroots organization in Ohio-8, a congressional district bordering Indiana, said he is motivated by the gulf between the interests and values of the district and Boehner.

I wonder if it’s too late to move to Ohio and how many people would we need...
already here. count me in!
Boner is too busy looking for his gonads to run, ya think?
Now is the time for all those freepers who have been saying “I would contribute to anyone who would challenge Boehner!!” Well, here he is, please support do help support him. Our tea party group is going to, and we need tea party groups all over to do the same thing.
we could send him money. I hope he can win...
Winteregg appears to be a perfect candidate - young, smart, articulate, motivated. He’ll need money and support but there is no reason why he shouldn’t give Boehner a run for his money. And even if he loses the primary, Boehner had made rumblings about resigning after the next election and this would give him a leg up in the special.
No-Balls Boner. That’s how I’ve characterized him for years.
Excellent!
My brother is a business owner in Boehner’s district and a radical conservative veteran. I’ll let him know.
I could live with him for a few days, pay him some rent, and then go vote. :>)
(To the NSA: “I’m just KIDDING!”)
You really don’t want to move to Ohio right now...
LOL — Good One!
Good. Boner needs to go south. (Hmmmm, not a play on words either.) LOL.
And, Boehner is too busy writing love letters to Dingy Reid on how to stealthily exempt Congress from 0DeathCare...and put the screws to We the People.
I usually hate Boner. But he did send a de-fund 0bamaCare budget to the Senate, and has stood firm so far on shutting down the government instead of funding communism on the hoof.
So, for this microsecond, I’m willing to give him a pass. The moment he caves (which I expect imminently), I’ll back his opponent.
But if by some miracle he sticks to principles for the first time in his life, I think we’ll have forced a spine into the crybaby after all. In which case, it’s hard to back an opponent to someone who finally does what we’ve been asking.
So I’ll wait a bit.
Ohio Ping
Rep. Boehner (R-Ohio) worked behind the scenes earlier this year to address confusion over a provision in the Affordable Care Act that would force members of Congress and their aides into the exchanges. In fact, if one were to go by the leaks, which were first given to Politico, it appears that the offices of Boehner and Reid regularly coordinated to exempt Congress from the health care law.

I grew up in Boehner’s district. As appealing as it is to replace him, it’s not going to happen. He’s an entrenched career politician and basically owns the Ohio political machine - including the local GOP. The GOP in the state is NEVER going to allow the Speaker of the House to be primaried out of a job. The implications to the GOP Elites would be huge. They will work to sabotage any rivals to him. I salute the bravery of this young man to step up. But unless he has unlimited funds to burn away he has virtually no chance to unseat Boehner.
