Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) on Friday said that the Tea Party movement is just as dangerous for America as the Civil War.
“A small group of willful men and women who have a certain ideology about how our country should run and what we should do cannot get their way in a normal discourse and votes,” Harkin said. “Since they can’t get their way they’re going to create this confusion and discourse and hope the public is so mixed up in who to blame for this that perhaps they’ll blame both sides.”
“That is the path they see for taking over the government. It’s dangerous, very dangerous. … Every bit as dangerous as the break up and the Civil War.”
Harking made the comments as the Senate prepared to vote on continuing resolution that would fund the government past Sept 30. Democrats are moving to stip language from the bill that would defund President Obama's healthcare law.
Harkin said Republicans were throwing a “temper tantrum” and threatening to "take their marbles home" unless they get their way on ObamaCare, risking a government shutdown.....
Yeah! Those crazy Tea Partiers calling for adherence to our Constitution! You know, demanding things like individual liberty, consistency of the application of laws and congress working on behalf of their constituencies!
Those are extremist positions to the promoters of tyranny!

What he couldn't bring himself to say, "That is the path the average American citizen sees for taking back their government. For us communists it's dangerous, very dangerous. ... Every bit as dangerous as the break up and the Civil War."
To which I say WRONG... If we the people of this once great country cannot retrieve and revive our government of the people, for the people and by the people from this oligarchy that has been stealing our liberty then the ensuing anarchy will be much worse than the Civil War. But then that's what Harkin, his handlers and his tools are hoping for isn't it?

That is absolutely true. I’ve worked around many Dems and can say with complete confidence that they all deeply FEAR the Tea Party. Dems are used to having their way with the compliant Republicans but the Tea Party fights back.
Like all bullies, the Democrats don’t like it when somebody pushes back on them. They can’t deal with it.
But the Civil War was a good thing in the end. Where’s the problem?
The RATS like the (official) commies and the Nazis *need* an enemy they can demonize to keep the shell game going. Doesn’t matter if it’s Sarah Palin, George Bush, Ted Cruz, the “tea party”, Rush - just as long as they can keep feeding their base something to distract them with.

Harkin’s wiki page has him as having announced that he will not seek re-election in 2014, in a state which leans Republican (repub gov and assembly, the dems hold the state senate by a margin of 1)
The tea party is the revolution, amd a peaceful one but the whining is going to deafen us .
And exempting Congress from obamacontrol has given them a title of nobility - Obamacare exempt
