I read (IIRC it was earlier on this thread last night) that this is technically not a fillibuster because Cruz (bless him!) started speaking before a bill was up for a vote, not after it had been brought up. Fine line and I don’t know - just passing along info for others to consider and help clarify for me.
Stuart Varney just reported on FoxNews that sticker shock is coming in the form of ‘deductibles’ under Obamacare.
He says in California, the mid-level premium policy deductibles are in the $2,000 range and cheaper level premiums are in the $5,000 range.

Obamcare will never collapse. Government programs only get bigger, once the problems are exposed, the politicians will throw more money at the problem to try to “fix” it. It will balloon totally out of control, but I really don’t think it will ever collapse. It’s simply a government takeover of everyone’s health care.

You know how congress goes up and threatens to cut this or that if they don’t get their way - such as military pay and benefits. Or - shutting the government down.
Next, it will be ‘we’ll have to cut Americans health benefits because the Republicans...blah, blah, blah.’
Our medical care will now be controlled by the very government who makes terrible financial decisions and cannot stay within budget.
The Constitution allows the Senate to amend appropriations bills, but it’s the House’s responsibility to either agree with the amendments or not. If Harry Reid sends the House a gutted resolution I hope the House takes 1 minute to send back a “Hell No!!” to the stinkin’ Senate.
The only standing are those on the floor of the US Senate right now, and led by Sen. Ted Cruz.

Bernie Sanders, the open socialist in Congress, has said that Obamacare is designed to lead to single payer. The only way that could happen is if it bankrupts free-market insurance/healthcare so that all that is left is government. So Obamacare is designed to collapse our healthcare system.
Ask yourselves one question, what will this administration and its friends do if they feel threatened? What devestating episode will they aid and abet to stay in power and get their way? I put nothing past them.
