Misleading headline.

Under the new Walgreens policy, “the firm will pay a fixed amount for employees to select coverage options in a private insurance exchange run by Aon Hewitt, a consulting unit of Aon PLC.

1) These are not Obamacare exchanges but rather a private insurance vehicle that is similar.

2) depending on the fixed amount, this is a typical employer paid with employee contribution health care plan - nothing new.

3) there is no mention of Federal subsidy

I stopped feeling warm fuzzies about Walgreens when I heard an ad this week saying that if you get a vaccine there, they see that a kid in another country gets a free shot. It’s called, “Shot@Life”, and sponsored by United Nations Foundation, Bill Gates, WHO, etc.

“Shot@Life, a campaign of the United Nations Foundation, educates, connects and empowers Americans to help protect children in developing countries from vaccine-preventable diseases. By joining this movement, you can help save a child’s life every 20 seconds by learning about, advocating for and donating vaccines to children who need them most.”

How about giving free shots to kids in OUR country instead of to the kids who’ll be killing our children in 20 years? Maybe I’m a cold-hearted bitch, but why not save OUR children first? We already know that, no matter how much good will we show to other countries, they still despise us and want to take us down. Enough.

Note the hypocrisy in that Walgreens makes a tremendous % of it’s profits by billing third-party health insurance.

They are accelerating a trend that could eventually put them out of business. More clueless grads of some MBA program apparently.

WAGs was way ahead of everyone when they forced their employees to agree to <30 hrs/week leading into 2012. They had to have been in on all this. The CEO is an Obamalicker. They jumped all over the electric car charger thing, and then played neighborhood grocer when they helped Lady Michelle and her food deserts (desserts? - I always forget which is which.) They agreed to carry produce no one would ever buy with totally inadequate storage capabilities. You could barely walk into the walk in full of Red Bulls, and yet somehow they were gonna stuff heads of iceberg in there. Lol.

this is what the crony socialist/capitalists wanted all along.

health insurance to be a fixed cost which the corporations can dwindle down to zero.

This will become like all government subsidies, it will be the real price PLUS subsidy which the consumer will pay. (see digital tv converter boxes. all prices increased by the cost of the subsidy)

I know some very nice people (my pharmacy) who work there. I despise Obama and his “Care.”

I remember when I first got laid off I applied several times to work with Walgreens in their distribution center. I thought “if one company is going to keep health care, it’s going to be one with a steady supply of drugs.”

Once again, God was right and I was wrong. Thankfully, I work elsewhere.

“The insurance landscape is shifting in other ways. Earlier this month, Trader Joe's Co. said it would end coverage for part-time workers. The privately-held grocery chain said in a statement it would give those workers $500 to buy insurance elsewhere.”

LOL. Trader Joe's found the solution. Give them $500 and say you're on your own. Good luck finding that exchange for $500 a year.

Obama’s marxist chickens have come home to roost among his supporters, but they turned out to be red vultures.

Bon appetite!

Walgreens, the nation’s largest drugstore chain, reportedly will no longer offer health insurance coverage to about 180,000 employees at its approximately 8,000 US stores.
