WASHINGTON The capital is full of portraits of government officials, sometimes more than one of the same person.
.
.
.
an effort is underway to put an end to the practice of taxpayers footing the bill for the commissioned paintings. The measure is dubbed the Eliminating Government-funded Oil-painting, or EGO, Act.
Rep. Bill Cassidy, R-La., introduced it after reports that the Environmental Protection Agency spent $38,350 for former administrator Lisa P. Jacksons portrait.
Lisa Jackson can borrow my camera for free, he suggested.

Not to mention the human waste occupying elective office and bureaucratic jobs in those same hallowed halls.

Nice painting of Lisa Jackson. Is that white cloud supposed to be fumes coming from her crotch area?

It doesn’t look all that much like her. Maybe it’s Richard Windsor in drag.

Environmental Protection Agency spent $38,350 for former administrator Lisa P. Jacksons portrait. Looking at Reply #1, I'd say they got ripped off.
Rep. Cassidy has a good idea.
If the employees of the EPA want to spring for Lisa's portrait, no prob. There are 17,000 of them. $2.25 each. Less than lunch.

I believe their booking pictures in prison should suffice. Rather wasting money on portraits of these felonious idiots, spend it on prosecuting them for their crimes against Free America, Free Americans and the Constitution.

If a daguerrotype was good enough for Lewis Cass, it's good enough for any subsequent government employee... elected or appointed. Since most of the current administration are thieves or traitors -
de facto if not
de jure - a simple mug shot is not only sufficient, but serendipitous.

Please tell me that portrait has been very sloppily photoshopped. Is that a rushing waterfall that jumped off the river or is it some funky odor coming off her?
I don’t understand the door either. Coming out of the closet? Makes no sense. The half of the door isn’t proportional to the bottom.

Not long ago it was found that modern portraits of DEMOCRATS were much bigger than those of Republicans. Often HUGE paintings taking up a full wall, of irrelevant Democrats.

Given the fact that the wet one (the spouse of O Dark Won) is so wide, did this portrait cost us double. Two half portraits at a special price? What was the cost of this particular one ....exactly? And if more red is used than black, does this increase the cost and if so to what extent

Don’t know what the artist was trying to do there, but maybe he/she should have stood back and looked at it a time or two.
