LAKE MARY, Fla. —
Channel 9 has learned police were called Monday to a domestic disturbance involving George Zimmerman and a gun at a home in Lake Mary.
Police were called to the scene on Sprucewood Road about 2:30 p.m. though no other details have been released.
Last week, Zimmerman's wife, Shellie Zimmerman, filed for divorce, weeks after her husband's acquittal in the killing of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

I hate to say it, but this guy is providing a lot of evidence that he ain’t very smart.

Ive known guys where the wife, pressured by her parents, gets restraining orders, gets the guy arrested etc. Then she is showing up everywhere to have sex with him, Thanksgiving at his parents’ house, and chiding him to move back in with her WITHOUT removing the restraining order!
This way she can have him locked up at any whim. This stuff happens a lot.
I’m not saying men don’t also throw fits, make threats etc. but these new laws are abused.
Ive seen women recant rape accusations, etc. Things can get ugly and the law no longer realizes people make stuff up. It’s presumed the man is evil and the judges treat him that way.
I agree 100% and also have this all along.
Probably in general a decent guy who tries to do the right thing. But none too bright.
I think we sometimes forget that half the population has below average intelligence.

He’s standing around in the shade with some blond girl in a black dress and his huge friend and a police officer seems to be talking to the three of them. I see no evidence of a holster thus no gun.
Shellie apparently called the police on him as being aggressive but he has other witnesses to the contrary. So Shellie may have overstepped her bounds here and she may be in trouble.
Fox 35 is saying a weapon was not involved and he is no longer in custody.
Probably need an AWACS to keep all the news helicopters from colliding.

I'll remain skeptical of ANY reports until the police come out with a statement.
Scorned women will lie, especially to the police.
I find it amusing that so many people are either sure GZ is guilty of something OR sure that he isn’t and his wife is. When nobody knows ANYTHING about what actually happened.I agree! When I was working for a local newspaper, it was crazy how frequently they were wrong [in whole or in part] on the news they were "covering."

The law is intentionally discriminatory against men in favor of women. The name of the law--the Violence Against Women Act--says it all, even though statistically men are as likely to be victims of domestic violence as women.

Useless media. The same issue can’t be in two places at the same time. Either way, George should not be anywhere near his crazy ex if he has any smarts.
I say again he went to see her(wrong move) she called the cops and knowing he carrys said he threatened me.
