Once thought to be a sure bet for re-election, a new poll shows that Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has seen his support fall among South Carolina Republicans, as his three primary challengers begin their campaigns against him.
The poll, conducted by Landmark Communications and Rosetta Stone Communications, shows Graham at 42%, Lee Bright with 13%, Nancy Mace taking 10%, and Richard Cash at 7%. And though he fares better in head-to-head matchups against his primary challengers, Graham is still under 50%.
These numbers should be of concern to the Graham campaign. The senator fails to reach 50% of the vote against any of his opponents, said John Garst, president of Rosetta Stone Communications, in a release. Graham does not break 40% among voters who think of themselves as evangelistic conservatives, and that group makes up 58% of the primary electorate.

The unofficial “beat Linda Graham” ping.....Go Lee Bright!
Great news!
Indeed - and I would say that Graham is perhaps the worst of the worst, becuase he’s from SC and states like SC need to give us Jim DeMint’s and Tim Scotts....not Grahams.
My theory is that folks like Graham, Chambliss from Georgia, Cornyn and KBH from Texas (thank God Cruz has her seat now) and Alexander and Corker from TN really damage us more than the Scott Browns of the world.....after all, states are different. We NEED Graham to be retired from SC. I think it will happen.
Ahh....Linda...you COULD have been great. Bye Bye.
AMF
Throw the bum out!
Wait until the attack ads start against his opponent. The RNC will send big $$$, sacrificing other candidates, to save this RINO.
Lindsey Graham is a strong liberal supporter of Barack Obama on issue after issue. He can’t avoid his record.
Lamar Alexander’s support from Tennessee Republicans is eroding (FINALLY)
Bob Corker’s support from Tennessee Republicans is eroding (FINALLY) would be nice too...
Until the election.
His strategy to win is going to either be to push far right for a a year to pretend he's a conservative, or once he gets beat in the primary to go full bore Arlen Specter, or even try to be a Joe Lieberman independent.
This is one guy who's going to have a hard time winning with either method. It will be a good thing to be rid of him (and some others).
Lib S.C. college professor told me this week (over breakfast) that the push is already underway for Dems to vote for Graham stronger than ever in the Republican primary. He said that Graham is loved as much as Gowdy is hated. FWIW
That should be JOB-1 for Republican activists at all levels:
Getting rid of open primaries.

RINOS are killing us.
I don’t think that will happen......and if it does, I think it will backfire.
I think that would be his least likely path to win again. It's going to be fun (sort of) watching him pretend to be a conservative for the net year.
