President Barack Obama hinted Friday that he might not strike Syria if Congress rejects his authorization request.
Im not itching for military action and if there are good ideas that are worth pursuing, then Im going to be open to them, he told one reporter who asked if he was seeking alternatives to a missile strike.
Are we on a fast track to military action as soon as Congress renders its judgment one way or the other? the reporter asked Obama, during his morning press conference in St. Petersburg, Russia.

“......How did we ever get so many people to vote for another Jimmy Carter?”.........
It had nothing to do with Jimmy Carter, it was the color of odumbo’s skin that got him the presidency, the dual error came with ZERO’s skills at governing which turned out to be much worse than Carter’s. Simply stated, the rest of us got screwed.
There's that and disgusted conservatives who stayed home. Obama won because the RNC which pulls the strings continually decides it's more important to have a candidate they favor than to win the election. As long as they control the party, they don't need to control the election.
As far as changing his mind now, this is the time anyone smarter than Obama (almost everyone) has a way out. He could say that with new information he received at the summit he has decided that attacking Assad now would have too much risk for WMD getting to terrorists.
The 2008 GOP primary was stolen with vote fraud...
McCain would have been worse than Obama, it would have put a Republican label on asinine progressivism.
I'm not itching for military action...just higher ratings
Obama’s job is to make Carter no longer the worst president in recent history.
Trial ballon failed so the whole thing is off.
What a hack.
Rather than have a public see him loose he takes his ball and goes home.
His next step if voted down will be to start blaming Congress for not advancing any ideas but rather just acting as obstructionists. We’ve seen this act already.
Psychologically off, as well. This last week has reminded me of the movie version of "The Dead Zone," where Martin Sheen played the part of the psycho potential President. I can almost hear him say, in response to the messenger bearing a diplomatic solution, "the weapons are aloft. God is Great." (Sheen says something different, but you get the idea).
Liberal white guilt my friend, plain and simple... the driving desire to turn the corner on race has only exacerbated the issue and installed a blind marxist theoretician to dismantle the constitution... WAKE UP AMERICA!
Barry’s election TWO times shows you just how naive and stupid 53% of the American people are.
We are watching the natural progression of a democracy with universal suffrage.
At least the Obama worshippers will be outed now.
Thanks elhombrelibre.
Motor Voter
I’m very grateful if he doesn’t strike Syria, not with the Russian forces set up to retaliate and start WWIII. I won’t criticize him for his VERY FIRST sane decision EVER.
As he always does.
Abandoning any strikes against Syria would be a good thing for him to do, IMHO.
Before Assad falls, I wish he would do the ultimate damage to Obama and his cronies. Show the world that the chemical weapons he possesses, came from Iraq just before we ousted Saddam. It would vindicate Bush, but more importantly, it would make Obama look like the fool that he is.
These Bush comparisons just are not working for me.
Bammy wants to bomb Syria because a bunch of Syrians were killed in Syria, by who no one is truly sure of.
Bush took us to war because terrorists killed over 3,000
American citizens on OUR soil.
There is absolutely no correlation between the two situations. The left has allowed the 9/11 attack to be denigrated over time to where the actual horror that occurred on our shores is thought of as little more than a minor police situation. Why Bush allowed this view to come into being is beyond me.
Obama needs to be removed from office at this time. If not, he will have us trading nukes with the Russkies before this is all done.
And if Obama does back down, America ends up looking like Russia’s female dog. Either way we lose. This is why it is so important to have a Commander in Chief who knows what he is doing.
