Does it matter which group actually used the sarin?

Does it matter where the sarin came from?

Hewitt misses the boat once again. Fact is, the vast majority of the American people oppose going to war in Syria. And they’re not all isolationists. Not even close.

Another microphone badass wants a war to talk about from the comfort of a studio.

Reagan was a president of great restraint who would not approve of our current disaster.

I notice that Hugh has not a day in uniform. After we send the 191st chairborne RINO battalion to “teach Assad a lesson” I’ll re-think my feelings on the matter. Get in the game, Hugh!

Why is this war any different from the Iran-Iraq War? We wanted both sides to lose in that war and we should want both sides to lose in this war.

Hugh Hewitt is simply— an idiot, or a tool, or both. Some conservative, right.

"as it is now in September 2013 make the case for American strength. Now, when will the GOP's front bench gather the courage to say so?"

American strength would be shown by taking out the Taliban by actually conducting a war in Afghanistan, kicking islamic butt to provide enclaves in Eqypt and Syria for Christians and taking out Iran's nuclear program.

Why pick 1930? I’d take us back to before that 1917 when another progressive democrat Wilson dragged us into WWI.

Hugh is a decent enough fellow and conservative on many points, but he’s also a huge neo-con, and his beating of the war drums is oh-so predictable.

The proximate cause of our nation’s problems with Syria can be directly traced back to the election of Barrack Hussein Obama as our President in 2008. Grumble about everything else, but change that and we don’t have this mess.

Yeah, c’mon... this is the 21st century, we pretty much bomb whomever we can now.

Hey hugh... you propagandist idiot... turn the missiles and nukes toward iran and see how quick the public opinion shifts. The syrians are involved in a civil war... thinking Americans know that we have no business being in syria... we have no national interest in going in there.

The iranians have been at war with us since 1979. We may not recognize it but the mullahs certainly do. Americans never again want another “police action”... we have not won one outside of Grenada... not since WW II and we are not the un’s police force nor al qaeda’s air force. We only want declared war with intent to win at any cost and then after completely defeating our enemy... we come home... no aid... no quarter and no more nation building.

I need more evidence of who really gassed those people than some pictures and democratic leadership going into orgasim mode.

Hugh, can’t you disagree without being so disagreeable? Think you’re going to convince anyone with your insulting condescension?

Syria’s butcher Bashir Assad******

Hardly certain who used the gas although it makes a lot more sense the rebels did based on the direction of the war.

What isn’t in doubt is which side cuts out and eats the heart of the opposition, or, beheads a young, newly married Christian and feeds his body to the dogs.

Mr Hewitt is wrong

I am not an Isolationist. I am simply not an interventionist when there is no national interest involved. Unlike the Republicans in the 1930’s I do not argue that the US needs a less capable military. I do not doubt that there are groups and nations that would like very much to attack the US if they could. I do not delude myself, as liberals and Ron Paul does that they will stop trying to do this if the US is simply nicer to them.

US foreign policy should be based upon a few simply precepts.
1. Leave us alone and we will leave you alone. Your internal affairs are your own concern; deal with them yourself.
2. We mean what we say
3. We say what we mean
4. We will not promise more than we can deliver
5. We will not make make threats unless we are willing to back them up. We do not posture or rattle sabres.

The only nuance in these is that some cultures value honesty more than others. They would need to be enlightened as to the true simplicity of the 5 points.

Geez, I am a low level academic and I could be a better SoS than PIAPS or JF-Kerry
