I suggested this idea on another thread, but Im thinking maybe it deserves its own thread.
Id love to see a full-blown glass roots campaign for Republican voters to constructively express their anger and demonstrate their absolute determination to save our nation by formally leaving the Republican Party.
Id love to see the GOPe face a well-documented and very highly publicized walk-out.
It's easy and free. All we need to do is un-register.
I propose a massive grass roots movement for conservative Republicans to officially leave the party by changing their voter registrations to Independent or Unenrolled (or Conservative Party or Libertarian Party or any non-left party that is legally established in their state of registration).
If you live in a state with a closed primary, keep your Republican registration until the primary is over, and then switch (unless the conservative candidate wins).
Otherwise, lets show the GOPe, the RINOs and the Democrat enabling aisle-crossers that they are on their own and will never win another vote from Conservatives.
In the current political climate, changing party registration is a revolutionary act. And this is a time for revolutionary acts if we are to save our beloved nation.
Its time.
Let's turn our backs.
Just do it. Pass it on.
Kinda late to the show, aren’t you??
I dropped my Republican registration in January of 2012 after Boehner and Cantor caved on the Fiscal Cliff deal.
I’m out. Been out since january and I’m not going back.
I’ll leave in a heart beat ... only, where to go. There is no formal or national Tea Party per se. Perhaps Constitution party? Something else?
I just e-mailed the RNC... I am out..
I'll Register as "Independent", but that means I can't vote in the Primaries, and the GOP-e RINO is a shoe-in, then.
let it burn: http://minx.cc/?post=335557
I am so in.
I left it today. I want to see it documented. I want to see that the elite establishment has noticed. It’s a bit early yet, but I’m hoping some anti-GOP site will bring it up as a slap in the face to Boehner has Obama-loving cohorts.
As I said, I suggest that you stay registered as a Republican if your state has a closed primary. Then switch after the primary, unless the Conservative wins.
Been there done that.
A better iea is to take over the GOP from the inside and boot the RINOs to the curb.

Well hooray for you! I guess you are trying to say others shouldn’t be leaving now? If we didn’t leave when you left it’s some how a lesser gesture?
What’s your point?
The GOP is the party of RomneyCARE/ObamaCARE
and LYING about its origin.
The GOP is the party of gay marriage imposed by Romney
and LYING about its origin.
The GOP is the party of arming al Qaeda with MANPADs
and LYING about it.
The GOP is the party of arming al Qaeda with SAMs
and LYING about it.
The GOP is the party of arming al Qaeda with sarin WMD
and LYING about it.
The GOP is the party of leaving the BORDERS WIDE OPEN
and LYING about it.
The GOP is the party of liars, and backstabbers of
children like Romney and Rove.
A mass exodus is kinda like a boycott. I don’t do “boycots” but I do act individually. I “mass exodused” when R’s controlled both houses and the presidency and they still acted like liberal democrats.
YMMV, though.
I switched to Dem in 2008 to help Rush with operation chaos. Since there’s not a dime worth of difference between the two parties I didn’t bother to switch back.
Long past time. Won’t happen now, either.Everyone worries about the short term consequences. Short term the Democrats will win elections. Short term if the party membership stays the same, the Democrats will win elections, either as labeled Democrats or as labeled Republicans. Conservative candidates will continue to become Republican-labeled Democrats within hours of their taking their seats in DC.
