Glock.
seriously, swat holsters have trigger guards, probably serpa or fobus or kydex that you can’t fire them in the holster. there’s more to this than what’s reported.
I don't know about California, but maybe they don't have to worry about smart people applying.
Somesing doesn’t sound wight.
Typical. Our modern thug army is a running demonstration of the hazards of mixing guns and mental retardation.
yeah, right...
that word, secured, i don't think it means what you think it means
/johnny
obviously a high danger situation where an unsecured loaded weapon is a must
They should count themselves lucky the kid didn’t get his finger on the MP5.
Only the police and military can be trusted with guns.
Oh, Lord! Stuck in a Lodi again.
A holster with the trigger guard un-covered.Clearly the LEO was using a NON-standard holster.
——The incident occurred on Aug. 24, but was disclosed by police in a news release on Sunday. Lodi is located about 40 miles south of Sacramento. According to police, a SWAT team member was displaying tactical equipment to children at the meeting-——
Gee...what in the world would the purpose of displaying tactical weapons to six to eight year old children.....?
A little situational awareness goes a long way. Seriously, the officer should have to go through some additional gun safety training at a minimum.
Why would your Glock be ready to go during such an event?

During the Little Buckaroos Reading Round-up event, Officer Robert Rench was helping a boy try on pieces of SWAT team gear, when another young boy approached unnoticed. The boy, who witnesses told police was about 6 years old, reached his finger toward the gun and pulled the trigger, Piombo said.
Besides Rench, no one was injured. But a woman left with the child who fired the gun, and so far police have been unable to identify him.
The Glock handguns that SWAT members carry arent equipped with a safety, Piombo said.
There is nothing we could have done differently, he said. It was just an accident. It boggles the mind why a child would do that.
If we follow the “logic” of liberals, this means that it is now time to enact common-sense gun control on police guns.
Who would buy a gun that had no safety?
Supposedly the cop had a light on the front of the glock and that caused the gun not to be fully seated in the holster. Enough of the trigger was exposed to let the kid pull it. You have to wonder about a 6 YO kid who 1) would notice the trigger was exposed and 2) would pull it while it was attached to a cop.
