Hmmm, based on what the left preaches isnt it supposed to be Fox News that is the biased news station? Well even the liberals over at The New Yorker are saying that MSNBC is worse!
According to The New Yorkers Kelefa Sanneh, who for 8 years was a critic at the New York Times, profiled MSNBC and found that Conservatives are far less visible on MSNBC than liberals are on Fox News. And not only is MSNBC less likely to have Conservatives on their shows, but when they do, they tend to be Republicans who talk trash right-wingers.
Sanneh had this to say about Phil Griffins show:
Virtually every other show [aside from "Morning Joe"] belongs to hosts who unstintingly support Obama and the Democrats, with only minor points of disagreement. ([Host Chris] Hayes criticizes Obama for his drone killings and surveillance programs, and often conducts friendly interviews with Glenn Greenwald, the journalist who collaborated with Edward Snowden. Melissa Harris-Perry, who appears on weekends at 10 a.m., nearly always defends Obama, and called Glenn Greenwald a jerk.)
Conservatives are far less visible on MSNBC than liberals are on Fox News, and the right-leaning guests who do appear are typically critics of the conservative movement: Steve Schmidt, the Republican strategist, who says the party is too tolerant of nuts and kooks; Josh Barro, an advocate for Republican reform who describes himself as neoliberal; Abby Huntsman, the daughter of failed presidential candidate Jon, who has described the G.O.P. as a party of non-inclusion. The over-all impression is that your average Republican or conservative is simply too fanatical to be part of polite discourse.
Some have said that the article was too easy on Fox News, saying that the liberals who appear on Fox News are simply too tame. Either way, isnt the point of media to be unbiased and fair? The fact that MSNBC obviously is not giving equal time to Republicans and Democrats is just unfair to viewers. Give us the information and then let us form our own opinions.
And all we can come up with is ONE MIDDLE-OF-THE-ROAD network, and we are supposed to be grateful for the bread crumb???!?
NO! I want a NETWORK THAT IS PROUDLY BIASED TO THE FAR RIGHT!
Whaddya want? They’re employing Howie Kurtz after all. /eyeroll
But wouldn’t that make the same as them? I don’t want to be the same as them
Thanks Kaslin. Have a great day all.
Get up, tank up your car this morning, chop chop.
Yes. Of course. Pity you do not want to meet the enemy on the terms they dictate, especially when they field many more units. To put it in an analogy, it would be somewhat similar to meeting the Taliban's six battalions of ground troops with one battalion of our own ground troops, and refusing them air or armor, so they are on parity with the Taliban.
See, the left gets their message out, six times (six networks) over. We should have at least ONE network that gets OUR message out, not one that is mealy-mouthed, apologetic, and barely adequate.
I don’t care MNSNC is far left. I do care that they lie and call themselves news.
Imagine if Rush said he was a news show.
The marxist “news” propagandists continue to dominate vs real news outlets.
It’s an uphill struggle but one we cannot lose.
What’s with ‘the FIVE’ on the screen and the SIX at the table?
Baghdad Bob is more balanced than MSNBC.
Did anyone actually read the original article? Including the author?
One of the biggest lies that liberals promote and believe today is that FOX is some sort of right-wing outfit. At most, they may be marginally right of center, but that are for more "establishment GOP" leaning than "conservative" by any stretch of the imagination.
Of course, these same morons think Bill O"Reilly is some kind of "arch-conservative", when in fact he's quite the centrist populist.
Heads would likely literally explode if they were ever exposed to an actual conservative news/talk network.
“We should have at least ONE network that gets OUR message out, not one that is mealy-mouthed, apologetic, and barely adequate.”
Ditto.
Fox News is 10x more balanced than the NYT.
As for MSNBC, they are unbalanced in every sense of the word.
Because the three ladies rotate regularly between themselves, so there are always five commentators, but one of the ladies may be a different one on a rotating basis.
“As for MSNBC, they are unbalanced in every sense of the word.”
Unhinged is more like it.
TADA!
Amen! "The Conservative Network": 'TCN'. With Sarah Palin as it's main anchor to drive the Left and Vichy GOP crazy.
Too late; as the gas gougers have already jacked up prices for Labor Day!
Right -- "BOOOOO, Beckel!! Get off the panel!!"
