FORT HOOD – U.S. Army Maj. Nidal Hasan will be executed for the 2009 shooting rampage on post that left 13 people dead and more than 30 wounded.
The jury panel of 13 U.S. Army officers delivered the verdict on post moments before 2 p.m. Wednesday. They deliberated for less than three hours.
Last Friday, the same panel unanimously found Hasan guilty of 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder for the 2009 shooting rampage at Fort Hood.
This sentencing verdict ends the court martial after 17 days. In it, Hasan, who defended himself, never revealed a motive, did not present a defense and refused to cross-examine any of his victims.
Hasan will immediately lose his rank of major and he will stop getting paid in two weeks.
The Army will soon transfer him to the U.S. Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. to begin serving his sentence.
But an execution is not imminent. Hasan automatically gets an appeal and it has been more than 50 years since the military executed anyone.

Hassan earned it, but I wish he could feel what even one of his victims felt, and if it was my choice, Hasan would be made to die with the feelings of Francheska Velez then pregnant with child when he shot her and then also shot into her womb to kill her baby. Hasan should be made to feel just like she did, just before we pull his plug.
I very much want this to be a public execution.

Spc. Dayna Roscoe testified she was in an overflow waiting area in the medical building when the gunman shot her in the left arm as she hid in a chair with her arms wrapped around her head. He turned away, fired in another direction and then came back and shot her twice more, hitting her leg.
When the gunman left, Roscoe said, she could hear another soldier, Lt. Col. Juanita Warman, “say she’d been shot in the abdomen and was bleeding. She wanted someone to tell her family that she loved them and that she wasn’t going to make it.” ..........................................

Unless, like Tim McVeigh, he waives all appeals.
Victims families can sue him for civil damages and obtain claims against his pay.
Justice for the survivors of the deceased and injured is good as well.
There will be (false) hysterics in Islamic circles when (if) he is executed before he dies of old age.
Since he has a martyr complex and seeks death life without parole, confined to a wheelchair, may be a worse sentence.

This guy should have been dead three years ago.
He is an admitted traitor who took up arms as a US officer against the US and its soldiers and killed a bunch of them in the name of the enemy in a time of war. He knows it (and admits it and is proud of it), and we know it. They should have taken his sorry hide to a water board and spent two weeks waterboarding every piece of info he had. Then they should have held a military tribunal right there at Ft. Hood, pronounced him a traitor and guilty, and sentenced him to death...and then taken him onto the parade ground that instant and had him either shot or hung.
No millions in trial expense, no hundreds of thousands paid to him these three years as a continuing member of the military, no hundreds of thousands for his upkeep, and no podium for his sick rantings.
The fact that our sorry excuse for a President and CINC does not even have the decency to call this what it was, an attack on our military by an enemy combatant, so the victims and their families can receive the benefits they deserve as soldiers killed or wound in action sickens me and makes me want to puke. I pray God in Heaven will return the disgrace and suffering on Obama and his administration ten fold for the abject, cowardly offense and insult they have given our military, and particularly those wounded and killed at Ft. Hood.
So there...got it off my chest and I don’t give a rat’s rear end if the NSA and any Obama operatives and cronies know it!

I say let him rot in prison isolation for the rest of his life without the use of his legs. He's got a lot of years ahead and each and every day will be miserable. Maybe he'll get cancer or some other painful disease. Putting the needle to him is just too humane for this monster.
Like I've always said about lethal injection, I hope I go out that easy. They first put you to sleep as in cosmetic surgery counting back from 10 and then inject the lethal potion. Much to good for this POS.
