Machias, Wash - Updates and more information begin to come in regarding the alleged bullet strike. On August 24th, this column received confirmation from the Seattle Pistol & Rifle Association that the pistol and rifle ranges was indeed closed on the day of the incident, which could mean a few different things at this point, including that the bullet didn't come from the range in question.

While there is still no definitive information that would label this a hoax, the facts in this incident are beginning to tell a different tale than the one told by the homeowner in their original flyer. What the truth is, remains to be seen.
Yet another liberal hoax? That’s unexpected.

Another informal one a large gravel pit very high back stop bullet supposedly went over the top of like a 100 foot high back stop and a 158gr 357 bullet was found in a yard a mile plus away. Owner stopped letting people shoot there.
I wouldn't doubt that both were faked. by home owners complaining about the noise.
Some years ago, a person kept complaining about the nearby shooting range after he had bought a house in a new development. One day he called the police to complain that a bullet had hit his house. The police came out, and the homeowner handed them a bullet. The cops at least knew enough about guns, that when they looked at the bullet, which showed no rifling marks, but did have marks that appeared to have been made by a pair of pliers, that they told the homeowner never to call again.
Now that’s funny right there!
Liberals trying to shut down a gun range that existed long before they move in.
Except it still had it's brass casing on it.
I Learned .40 Handgun Ammunition Can Travel 500 Yards (Vanity)
Should have arrested his 4$$ for filing a false report. Cops too lazy to do the work?
This reminds me of the 9mm round embeded in my front bumper.
It either came from the space station, or, someone shot up in the air and didn’t care where it came down.
Child walking along with his dad and keeled over - bullet from gun fired in the air.
Police are still looking for who did this ... have been going door to door ... which opens a whole ‘nother can of worms.

I agree. The homeowner was a local celebrity, and the weather geek on a TV station. Think that saved him.
Belonged to a range in the Philly suburb area. Woman moved in KNOWING the range was there.
Sure as sh!t, in about two months, doncha know her house got “hit” by a “stray” bullet from the rifle range.
Never mind that the position of her house and range position and direction, would have meant that a shooter would have had to stand up, turn XX number of degrees to starboard, raise the weapon to a 40 something degree angle, to have any hope of hitting her stupid house.
After a LOT of time and MONEY, it was found that the “rifle bullet” which she originally REFUSED to relinquish to police or Montgomery county DA, was in fact a .380 pistol round she got from her brother. The hole in her siding was proven to be caused by a ball peen hammer.
Like in the Beeyatch who cried “rape!” when no rape was committed, the witch was slapped on the wrist.
As a board member, I voted to take her house, car and a pound of flesh.
I was outvoted by a lot p**sys who didn’t want to be “bad neighbors.”
PS, the rifle range is STILL CLOSED after all these years.
Yup, good neighbors, yup!
People of the “hispanic” and “mudslimz” persuasion, have a penchant for “celebrating” by firing their weapons into the air.
They are TOO STUPID to know, WHAT GOES UP, MUST COME DOWN.
You just can’t penetrate nor reason with that kind of stupidity.
I'm supposed to believe that shot came form the range?
