In an interview with The Washington Post, Gore said climate change activists are in the process of "winning the conversation," just like activists won the civil rights movement.
"The same thing happened on apartheid," he told columnist Ezra Klein in the interview posted online Wednesday. "The same thing happened on the nuclear arms race with the freeze movement. The same thing happened in an earlier era with abolition. A few months ago, I saw an article about two gay men standing in line for pizza and some homophobe made an ugly comment about them holding hands and everyone else in line told them to shut up. We're winning that conversation."

The man is such a mentally-diseased liar. I really DO believe he’s crazy.
I dunno about this. I, too, thought that AlGore was an idiot. A marginal pol who rode his dad's coattails to power, who lost a "gimme" presidential election that frankly, was his to lose, who couldn't even carry his home state in the failed election.
Now, I'm thinking that he's a very shrewd conman, who used his failed election to build a massive sucker list .... who he then bilked out of millions of dollars. He's wound up far richer, and with a far more forgiving audience, than he'd ever have been if he was president, I think.
Let me talk to you about amateur radio, Al....
--Al Gore (global warming loon and noted planetary scientist.)
Al Gore isn’t even on the same planet as the rest of us.
What Republican would even speak to this dork.
The people I know are laughing at Global warming while they enjoy this cool August weather we are having.
The chickens are coming home to roost. I just read about UPS and Delta axing the spouses from their employee health care coverages. That's gotta affect a couple of hundred thousand employees, at least some of whom voted Dem.
Going to leave a mark, for sure. But is it the "tipping point"? Who knows. I've seen so many "Tipping Points" trumpeted here on FR that I've lost count.
I just listened to the book “The Poisonwood Bible”. It made me think of Apartheid, and how it seems the result of the “end” of that segregation was to lower the standards of living for everybody, much like in Elyseum the result of the protagonists is not to make their lives better, but other lives worse.
Not defending apartheid, which in large part was about rich people stealing the wealth of a nation; just noting that even where there are real problems, the left tends to use those problems to push bad programs that don’t make anybody’s lives better.
Meanwhile, a lot of people have grown weary of being attacked and ridiculed for believing in science rather than hype. The bully pulpit of the left and the media has brought many people to suffer in silence now, who wants to be kicked out of society because they don’t hold the “correct” views.
Just like when some of the ice melts in the Arctic, he conveniently forgets that 9 times as much ice has grown in the antarctic....if it's “global” yoiu might want to include the whole Earth.
Generally most grifters are smart enough to give up after their scam has been exposed.
Interestingly enough, the local MSM is talking about how hot the weather is. Really. I didn't see a relation to Global Warming, but it was likely "understood". Even my wife, who rarely pays much attention to the news, asked "What planet are they on???!!".
Highs last week were 20 degrees below normal. I love it.
Strangely, in the group of people the democrats have presented as presidential candidates, Howard Dean would actually have probably been the most successful and best of the bunch.
Man earplug is a denier.
ManbearPig
That's a long string of non sequiturs.
The same thing happened when Genghis Khan changed his name to Betty. A guy in Fargo purchased a newspaper on July 23rd 1943. Someone looked out of a window and saw sparrow.
Algore could be a prophet, if only the climate would cooperate with his argument, but it doesn’t because it doesn’t like tubby dummies telling it what to do. Hell will freeze over before climate gives into Goresque banalities, or succumbs to relentless screams from leftist loons.
Algore seen here celebrating just after reading the most recent IPCC report. He immediately went from here to the 5,000 square foot money counting house and vault addition to his $20 million California mansion.
Melting away just like the record ice in Anartica.
IF P.T. BARNUM HAD A SON WHO WOULD HE LOOK LIKE?.....
