I just listened to the book “The Poisonwood Bible”. It made me think of Apartheid, and how it seems the result of the “end” of that segregation was to lower the standards of living for everybody, much like in Elyseum the result of the protagonists is not to make their lives better, but other lives worse.

Not defending apartheid, which in large part was about rich people stealing the wealth of a nation; just noting that even where there are real problems, the left tends to use those problems to push bad programs that don’t make anybody’s lives better.

Meanwhile, a lot of people have grown weary of being attacked and ridiculed for believing in science rather than hype. The bully pulpit of the left and the media has brought many people to suffer in silence now, who wants to be kicked out of society because they don’t hold the “correct” views.

The end of Apartheid was the beginning of the end for whites in SA.
