Conservative radio host Michael Savage teased a major announcement on his website earlier today, and tonight, he delivered. Savage predicted that he will be replacing Sean Hannitys time slot on Cumulus Medias network of stations. While Hannitys fate appeared to be tied to that of Rush Limbaugh in the initial reports on the Cumulus move, Mediaite has learned from a talk radio source Limbaugh is likely to stay. Mediaite has also learned from multiple talk radio sources that Savages prediction will likely be confirmed soon.
I predict, right here, right now, that I Michael Savage and the Savage Nation is going to take over The Sean Hannity Show time slot by the end of the year, Savage said. Hes probably a nice guy, but his time is come and his time has gone, he continued, and I am the heir apparent to afternoon drive on the east coast and around America on Cumulus stations, which have the most powerful stations in the radio world.
If Hannitys strong right-wing views were the impetus for Cumulus decision to potentially let him go, they would not be getting anything less conservative in Savage. The host has a long history of causing controversy with his remarks, dating back at least 10 years to the comments that caused MSNBC to fire him. Since then, he has blamed Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts epilepsy medicine for his health care ruling, mocked Fox News empty skirts and lipsticks with legs and labeled President Obama the first Muslim president.
Savage also has a history of animosity with the man he says hes replacing. He recently called Hannity a fake conservative and one of the most shallow men in the America media.

Alex Jones joking about his affection for Mr Maddow really upset a lot of liberals.
Rush and Sean are syndicated by Clear Channel (or affiliates thereof) and appear on about 40 Cumulus stations (big ones, though — WABC, WLS, WMAL, WJR, WBAP, and others). Clear Channel will find Sean other affiliates in those markets (Rush too) if Cumulus dumps them. (WOR in New York is said to be eager to pick them up.)
Cumulus already syndicates Mark Levin and Michael Savage. If their stations dump or lose Sean Hannity, they will need programming for that timeslot. So their plan, apparently,, is to mvoe Savage into the Hannity timeslot.
You do know that Dr. Savage is a married man with a family, don’t you? Why are you accusing him of being a homosexual?
That would be better. I would like to hear Savage again. I rarely listen to Hannity. Nice guy, I just do not really enjoy his show.
I love AJ. I cant listen to the guys who still think it is business as usual, R vs D.
Tom McClintock got 13 percent in that race. He should have gotten Ahnold's votes too. He would have been a much better governor than Ahnold, Davis, or Moonbeam.
And good radio is a perfect companion for that sort of activity.
Chris Plante’s problem is that Laura Ingraham, Glenn Beck, and Tom Marr are all on at the same time he is. They’re all good, but you can’t listen to them all at once.
A lot of it is schtick.
That is when I listen. I catch Beck in the early am, during the day when working it is Alex Jones. Then while doing the dinner thing it is Levin. Not all every day but many days that is my routine.
You are making a false charge. He was a friend of Ginsberg when he was a liberal, but they went their separate ways long ago. People change over the years. Ed Schultz used to be a conservative.
Savage for me is a crying baby. Never could stand him.
Read post 56, Savage is a fake, and we have letters that he wrote homosexual activist and friend, and NAMBLA member Allen Ginsberg.
I read the post. You don’t know what you’re talking about.
Post 56 is a portion of an article from the SF Chronicle, what portion of it do you think is false?
You know I love love love The Planteman!
I like Savage’s array of topics within an hour — I only listen from 9 to 10pm most nights — he can go from wedding disaster stories to Craiglist Love Wanted ads to talking about more serious stuff in a second. He’s Brilliant...
