Conservative radio host Michael Savage teased a “major announcement” on his website earlier today, and tonight, he delivered. Savage predicted that he will be replacing Sean Hannity’s time slot on Cumulus Media’s network of stations. While Hannity’s fate appeared to be tied to that of Rush Limbaugh in the initial reports on the Cumulus move, Mediaite has learned from a talk radio source Limbaugh is likely to stay. Mediaite has also learned from multiple talk radio sources that Savage’s prediction will likely be confirmed soon.
“I predict, right here, right now, that I Michael Savage and the Savage Nation is going to take over The Sean Hannity Show time slot by the end of the year,” Savage said. “He’s probably a nice guy, but his time is come and his time has gone,” he continued, and “I am the heir apparent to afternoon drive on the east coast and around America on Cumulus stations, which have the most powerful stations in the radio world.”
If Hannity’s strong right-wing views were the impetus for Cumulus’ decision to potentially let him go, they would not be getting anything less conservative in Savage. The host has a long history of causing controversy with his remarks, dating back at least 10 years to the comments that caused MSNBC to fire him. Since then, he has blamed Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts’ epilepsy medicine for his health care ruling, mocked Fox News’ “empty skirts” and “lipsticks with legs” and labeled President Obama the “first Muslim president.”
Savage also has a history of animosity with the man he says he’s replacing. He recently called Hannity a “fake conservative” and one of the “most shallow men in the America media.”

Are you kidding me? Savage is a mental pornographer and a fraud of the highest order. That freakshow may sound conservative at times, but is a raving lunatic 20 minutes later. Plus, anyone who listens to that raving lunatic will be either perpetually angry, mentally damaged, or depressed. Probably all.

Democrat hacktivist calls his tv show claiming to be an offended homosexual (he wasn’t even gay), starts insulting the host on air, Savage thinks the audio is getting dumped/fade to commercial and tells him several ways to “drop dead” including getting tapeworms from undercooked sausage. The hacktivist was tickled pinko when Mike said “get AIDS”.
Nina Totebag at NPR said that if there was any justice in this world Jesse Helms or his grandkids should get AIDS.

Look at Michael Weiner’s political contributions and it will be revealed he isn’t the conservative he claims to be on air.
I’ve only listened to a few clips on u-tube and the like, but based on what little I’ve heard, the guy seems like a loon to me. Way too much screaming at the guests and the like for my tastes. I’m not the biggest fan of Hannity, but I’ll take him over Savage any day.
Just listening to his show. WHAT did he just say about Obamacare? The jist I got was that it is inevitable? Did I hear right?
I tend to agree; Limbaugh will always have a network that is willing to pick his show up. Talk radio might not be the growth industry it was twenty years ago, but Limbaugh will always bring in huge ratings. Cumulus is making a big mistake if they let him go.

I think Jones can control his temper a lot better than savage and that is saying a LOT as Jones is a self admitted crazy man....

Cumulus is hanging by a thread. They are in panic mode. They are trying anything.
