Air Force Says Drag Acts Symbolize Gay Pride

The U.S. Air Force said that a well-known drag queen group was invited to perform on base during a “Diversity Day” celebration because drag is a “symbol of gay pride and unity. But the performance sparked outrage among some airmen who called the drag show “totally offensive and inappropriate.”

Jewels and the Brunchettes performed to a small crowd at the Los Angeles Air Force Base on Aug. 8, the military confirmed. Photographs provided to Fox News show an individual wearing a giant wig and sporting form-fitting dresses performing to a sparse crowd underneath the American flag.

“Drag acts to this day represent the struggle for freedom and equality of the LGBT community, while at the same time providing a deep-rooted historical form of entertainment for the LGBT culture,” said Peggy Hodge, a spokesperson for the Office of Public Affairs. The military said the drag queen group did not include any members of the Air Force.

“Drag queen acts are historically one of the main forms of entertainment in the LGBT culture, having its roots in the earliest of days of the gay rights movement,” Hodge said in a written statement.

While I do not think that Putin is some sort of saint, I do believe that he is sincerely trying to encourage a religious revival in Russia. That is certainly not any sort of conflict with his efforts to arrest the previously declining birthrate. (While the world may be over-populated, Russia is not.)

Putin is certainly showing far more evidence of traditional patriotism, than the present U.S. holder of an equivalent office. Or do you disagree with the last statement?

The purge of the top military brass by Obama seems to be complete. It seems that there are only perverts left in charge of the military anymore.

“Just last week I was hauled into an auditorium to be lectured by a senior chief and some other volunteers about activities like ‘mushrooming’, ‘credit carding’, ‘teabagging’, and ‘nut tapping’…”

I can empathize with your situation. I was 43 years old before I heard of “felching.” Naive boy that I was, I had no idea such a thing was done by people I worked with. Color me shocked!

Wow, it used to be a punishable offense to be seen at a gay parade in uniform.

Now the gays are wearing the uniform.

Lots of empty chairs in that picture.

"Empty chair" = Clint Eastwood metaphor = current administration.

I bet the commanding officer of the base would like to hear from you on this...he appears to be Sam Mcneil according to this article: Lieutenant Gen. Ellen Pawlikowski, SMC commander; Col. Frank Simcox, outgoing 61st ABG commander; and Col. Samuel McNiel, incoming 61st ABG commander; salute the flag during the 61st Air Base Group’s change of command ceremony, June 29.

John Boehner and the GOP-e have been copted by the depraved, morally and fiscally bankrupt Democrat party and their bi-president who are bringing us this stuff.

The performance was a religious act. It was an expression of defiance against God. Part of the religion of Leftism.

I got into the national guard in 1972 just as Nam was winding down. We had riot control training and would not hesitate to kick some hippy’s butt. Back then, training was real, not some glorified retreat.

Every swinging richard in the military should apply for a medical discharge with full compensation due to a terrible phobia that they developed while on active duty...

HOMOPHOBIA.!!Sure...if they want to play silly games....play it right back at them..!!

Sorry Chief...I'll need special duty...I can't stand to be around those people...every time I get around a fag...well, I just go crazy.!! Start hitting things and cursing loudly...Maybe you should just give me a medical and a fat paycheck and call it a day.....

Meanwhile, I read on another thread that it’s important to keep supporting our military regardless of these new developments. Why?

Why? Because the vast majority of people serving in our military are not gays and drag queens but people like my young son, a Marine, who is willing to study, labor, sacrifice, suffer, and even die so that you have the freedom to lounge in front of your computer and post snarky remarks. That's why.
