Was this a case of Donny Deutsch expressing sincere sentiments—or wanting Weiner out of the race to help Hillary?
Whatever the explanation, the ad man unleashed on Huma Abedin on today's Morning Joe, saying he was "disgusted" by the spectacle of her press conference, and accusing her of being an "opportunist" who wants to be First Lady of New York. A much more understanding Mika Brzezinski said that Abedin's performance was "amazing" and "extraordinary."

you see - here is a “midlevel” helper to Hillary, who recently paid over 250,000 for a wedding when she and her hubby had a gross income of 300,000. This type of crony pay off is what the political class has become accustomed to while working folks struggle with 3.50 gas and 4.00 gallon milk.
But I digress. Deutsch is a Hillary sycophant. Huma is doing exactly what Hillary did in 1992:

Huma and Weiner must be destroyed because the inevitable comparisons of Weiner to Bill and Huma to Hillary are damaging to Hillary. The obvious analogy is to compare Huma to Hillary, her long-time companion, er, mentor. The first time, it was not damaging. This time, with Hillary in 2016 mode, it is.

Donny Deutsch has been a irrelevant talking head for quite a while, now.
He has always been playing rear guard, for anything Progressive, who exposed himself, again, with this last turn of the track, on gun control.
Criticizing whatshername for doing anything Clintonesque shows the value of his tripe.
Let’s cut to the chase: the reason that Huma is propping up Weiner is to shift attention away from her relationship with Hillary. By all accounts, Hill and Huma are very “close,” and if she dumped Weiner, it would restart all kinds of talk about their relationship.
While Hillary has recently embraced the Rainbow Coalition and their push for gay marriage, she knows that wide swaths of the electorate won’t accept a lesbian president, including significant numbers of African-Americans and Hispanics. So, the relationship with Huma must be kept in the closet, even if it means staying in a sham marriage with Weiner. Heck, Hillary’s been sustaining her own marital charade for more than 40 years.
The scary part is Huma’s potential payoff for following the Hillary playbook. In a Clinton II administration, she could easily wind up as National Security Adviser or Secretary of State. Imagine that; a cabinet-level official with known ties to Islamic terror groups. In the meantime, wealthy Clinton supporters will make sure she gets the right advising gigs to keep her in a very comfortable lifestyle. Just yesterday, I heard that Huma and Weiner are living rent-free in a $3 million Manhattan apartment, courtesy of a Clinton backer.
