Dog-whistle alert: NRA. Vindictively. Common-sense. Dared to defy. Gun lobby. Barometer. Massacre. Respected opponent. Gun absolutists. Vengeful. Conscientiously.

The recall vote, set for Sept. 10, could hardly be more important as a barometer of whether the public, which repeatedly registers support for tougher gun controls in rigged surveys, will show up at the ballot to defend politicians who bucked the gun lobby.

Fixed it.

It is in the NYT Opinion Pages. I’m not sure we should expect anything else on the issue.

Hoisted by their own petard. Those legislators knew from the beginning that they had no support for gun control from their constituents.

“Recalls are for unethical behavior, and not disagreements,” he properly noted in The Denver Post.

Denying the people the power to defend themselves, and wantonly violating the Constitution of the United States, is unethical behavior.

Whenever I hear someone say “common-sense” in relation to gun legislation, I know what’s coming.

You forgot “reckless agenda “

What is really reckless is the gun control nuts that have blood on their hands from taking away guns from law-abiding citizens.

They conveniently forgot to mention the 58 of the 63 elected Colorado Sheriffs Civil Rights lawsuit against the state because these two laws are unconstitutional, something even the Governor implied during the signing ceremony.

:: Recalls are for unethical behavior ::

As an elected servant of the people, what is “ethical” about trying to overturn the Second Amendment?

This excrement show the way the majority of New Yorkers think. New Yorkers are like plague rats carrying the disease of liberalism and self imposed slavery wherever they go. Where is the bumper sticker “I hate NY” ( I already have one that says if you love NY take I95 North.)

HUH? What drugs are you taking. There is no public cry for tougher gun laws. The public wants the Government to ENFORCE the laws already on the books. The public wants the PEOPLE that murder others dealt with swiftly and effectively. Not the Government wasting time talking about the choice of tool the murderer used.

Colorado traditionally had been a gun-friendly state firmly locked into the reckless agenda of the N.R.A.

I have a hunch the snivellers and whiners of the New York Times would faint if they knew it's perfectly legal to belly up to a bar in Colorado while carrying a hand gun openly or concealed and have a drink. Carrying openly is illegal in Denver, Telluride, and I believe Boulder, but as long as one's blood-alcohol content remains below .08%, the same as for driving, carrying and drinking remains legal everywhere in the state.

I always recommended to students they not drink while carrying, but it happens to be legal, and happens not to cause problems. Wouldn't east coast leftist extremists have a hissing fit and a half if they knew that?

The NYT had a different opinion concerning Gov. Walker.

They really love ‘common sense’ (gun regulations). Because, what are you if you oppose common sense? Unreasonable, that’s what. And they hate the Bill of Rights.
NYC deserves Tony Weiner: A city full of shoe fetishist, exhibitionist practitioners of violence against the English language and American values.
