“It’s all conjecture at this point. We don’t even know that it wasn’t an accident.”

I’ll take it far beyond that, even far beyond wideawake:

I know this. I am sitting in a room in a building I call home. I am sitting at a desk, on which is a device with a keyboard and a mouse attached to a screen, which is attached to a black box which I was told is a cable modem connected to something I was told is called the internet.

On the screen, in response to some manipulations of the keyboard and the mouse, I can somewhat predictably get the screen to display images of words and pictures, which can more, or less, correlate with other images on another manipulatable device that plugs into the wall, which is called a TV.

The words and images on the desktop device seem produced in a purposeful and organized fashion, but who is organizing them, and for what purpose, is based on mere assumptions based, over time, by other words and images that have appeared from unknown people for unknown purposes.

Tonight, the words on the screen are related to a person I have never met, nor heard of before, who was supposed to have died in an accident I did not witness, under circumstances that I can not verify.

The words tell me there were ashes that are the remains of his body, but that someone else I don’t know has said that other people I don’t know, who never verified that these were his remains or that there ever was a death of the person, say this is not true.

Someone else I have never met told someone else that this person knew “something” and was going to go “underground”, or disappear for a while, and now he apparently has, but it looks suspicious, and other people I don’t know claim that authorities I don’t know are threatening them.

I’m pretty certain [although I don’t know how I could ultimately verify it] that the room and the desk and the device with a screen are all real, although it is getting late, and I have had first-hand experiences - I think - that playing with certain psychoactive chemicals can lead to alterations in even the most basic take on consensus reality.

Still, I think I could verify this take on reality, perhaps, to my own satisfaction by manipulating the device so as to “post” these typed words to the internet, and see if any response, or lack of response, shows up on my screen over time, and see if the correlation of those words compared to my words is convincing.

Or I could just go to bed, if I haven’t already.

An ‘unidentified attorney’ with a hidden U.S. government badge? Probably. This is how they roll, especially when they’re tapping your phones and Email.

This is pretty probable. When told the details, he sent it up the chain. Someone had an "oh shit!" moment, and they set up the hit.

We'll never really know what was going on, because the dictatorship doesn't want us to know.

Maybe you should slow down on the energy drinks, wideawake. And that bridge you have to sell me? I think you’re just sayin’ that. I’ll bet you don’t even own a bridge.

Letting people know she is researching this makes her safer - especially since Richard Clarke has said that foul play looks very possible. What would make her even safer is if other reporters similarly researched and let the world know they are researching. That way the story can’t be stopped by killing any one of them - and if any of them are killed it would raise the visibility of the issue even more.

This situation IS scary, and any reporters who don’t want to be stuck reporting household cleaning tips for the rest of their lives (the only safe subject) need to rise up now, because the coup is very nearly complete. As Yuri Bezmenov said, the “useful idiots” will be the first to be lined up and shot when the revolution is complete.

Was he cremated against the family’s wishes? Do you know? How do you know? Give us your “evidence” and “facts” to prove that this reporter is giving “pure supposition”.

Hopefully if he was investigating a big story regarding NSA he knew better than to use communication methods that were vulnerable. And it seems like he realized the big players that he was going up against, as well as their capabilities. Trouble is, there aren’t any secure communications methods. Even talking in person isn’t secure when they can know exactly when and where you’re going to be talking.

Umm Nully,

Seems that not all curmudgeons are old men..

Nor are all old men curmudgeons.

Just a thought, why would anyone feel the need to cremate a body without the family’s permission?

Perhaps to eliminate any drug or poison residues that might linger in the unburned body core?

Or perhaps, just perhaps to conceal any deep shrapnel damage that was beyond the reach of the car fire and to facilitate separating the shrapnel from the body? It’s a lot easier to run a magnet over ashes than to dig around in a badly burned body.

You're right that publishing may create a "safe zone." You're also right that it creates a "leper" rejection by peers and employers. One must be eternally politically correct in today's culture.

My comment was directed at the fact that this is just one more in a series of unexplained and downright eerie events that have plagued American life since at least the Kennedy assassination. You're more than right when you say other journalists should be seriously looking into this matter.

Maybe it was simply a drunk or self-involved journalist high on drugs crashing his car after an all-night spree. It wouldn't be the first time. But it's also a mystery. How many of us knew what was really going on beneath the cultural "surface" before the recent NSA spying revelations? How many of us know the truth about so much else in American public life? How personally dangerous is it to probe too deeply?

The brother said that he hadn’t had a drink in 5 years. Scratch the drunk driving theory.

Those of us who knew of government snooping/manipulation were told we were crazy conspiracy theorists and just imagining things until Snowden told the world the truth. The illegal snooping in David Petraeus’ emails made the story national knowledge even before that, but only the former NSA whistleblower under Bush was willing to point out the obvious: that snooping is being done NOT for national security, but to target critical people - in Petraeus’ case, a “critical” person because he could have revealed what was really going on in Benghazi.

Now the reporter who was used to reveal the dirt on Petraeus has showed up dead in what the Bush & Clinton national security director has said could be a cyber assassination by the regime, shortly after he told friends he was onto a big story and feared for his life and the life of his wife. His body was cremated against the wishes of his family, with the decision made by.... who, again? FBI folks just happened to be there at the scene of the early-morning collision/explosion/whatever. Hastings had given his information to an attorney, but with the NSA obviously snooping on him they could easily have had somebody pose as an attorney in order to set him up and dispose of the information. That’s the kind of crap that a lawless regime is able to do. We’re all fools if we ignore that fact.

You mean...

The FBI doesn't investigate and get deeply involved in the minutiae of every single-vehicle motor vehicle accident in the entire country?

Why, I'm shocked, I tell you..

-----

There are enough strangethings about this incident that lend well to generation of all sorts of possibly true/possibly bizarre things that fall into the class of conspiracy theories.

Hopefully anyone looking into this bizarreness will be wearing full body kevlar (or whatever the latest stuff is) ;-)

Back to disrespecting emperor cuomo...

Sounds like a Frank Peretti or Left Behind novel.

Who would have thought they would have been so prophetic?
