I have a prayer request. The man I have been “dating” for about 5 years was told in March that he has ms. This is a guy who has always been active. He played football at Auburn. I talked to him in May and had not heard from him since, until I got an email fom him today. He is really struggling with this and is real depressed. He is a retired psychologist so he knows about depression. I don’t know what I should do. I have invited him to come here but he has not made a decision. He does not need to be alone and dwell on this. The only time I have dwelt with depression was the weeks after my daughter and husband died but that only lasted a few weeks. Thanks.
Will pray for your friend, MamaB. Don’t nag, but don’t let up. Sounds like he needs company in the worst sort of way.
Good morning MamaB.
It is a disturbing revelation. I’d suggest gathering up positive data on MS. There are different degrees of MS. Knowing which he has will go a long way in knowing and recognizing the symptoms as they appear. He will need a good doctor who will treat and advise. Look into natural treatments too.
I have a cousin who has it, and has had it for at least 20 years. She is still mobile, although beginning to get to the stage where she will have to consider giving up driving and go into wheelchair. One of the first things her doctor told her was to stay as active as possible, and that swimming was a really good exercise for MS.
My point is, he may not be thinking of the positive, and if you are armed with facts, you can help get him past the fear and moving forward to fight the devil.
Good luck and keep us posted.
Prayers on the way.
Prayers going up.
Prayers up.
Prayers FRiend, for strength and faith for you and for your friend.
May God keep watch.

Prayers up for him and for you, MamaB.
