We grew them when I was growing up. We had the yellow ones, too. There is nothing better than going to the patch, picking out one, eat the best part and going to another one. I remember we did not have a good year one summer, so we bought them from a friend of my dad. They were 4 for $1. I was in MS last summer and there were some teens selling them on the square-—$7 each but they were huge. My brother and I bought 6 or 7. I was able to bring 2 home with me. My grandson makes fun of me and my watermelons. They know better than to get between a watermelon and me. When I was very young, people kept them in the freezer at the ice plant. Never figured out why they did not freeze. Really loved growing up in the country.

Good evening, Connie, and thanks for the tributes to our troops.
Texas is getting rain...how about AZ Land? Did you have a good commute?
Work is busy, busy...trying to do our regular work and test in the new system. This is not fun.
Almost ready to go home, with homework.

She would have posted pictures of the Taj Mahal, The Himalayas, and, of course, her flight over the Volcano in Hawaii.

Welcome to the Canteen, foxfield. Good for you, growing your own food. That's quite an accomplishment.
And we thank you for your service to our country.

Good evening/morning, Jack...I think you are right. LOL!
I usually get the cart that decides, as soon as I am away from the entrance, that one wheel will not turn.

Yes Indeed.
One of my fondest memories was my Hubby Mike riding her on the back of his Harley, and all three of us riding the Blue Ridge Parkway, and then into the mountains of West Virginia.
She also gave me her Maltese Dog Odie when she went into the mission field. Odie became my riding partner and had his own box on the seat of my Superglide and his own leathers. I had him for 15 years before I got Torey, who preceded Lynn-DAH.
We are talking about a L-O-N-G friendship!
