Famed defense lawyer and Harvard law professor Alan M. Dershowitz is calling for a federal investigation into civil rights violations stemming from the George Zimmerman case but he says the probe should focus on prosecutorial misconduct rather than on allegations of racial profiling and bias.
Speaking Sunday in an exclusive Newsmax interview, Dershowitz said the jurys finding that Zimmerman was not guilty of either second-degree murder or manslaughter was the right verdict.
He added, There was reasonable doubt all over the place.
Immediately after the verdict was announced, however, the NAACP and outspoken activist Al Sharpton called on the Justice Department to launch a federal civil-rights probe, charging that the case had been racially tainted.
Dershowitz is calling for a civil-rights probe as well. But he contends the person whose rights were violated was Zimmerman.
I think there were violations of civil rights and civil liberties by the prosecutor, said the criminal-law expert. The prosecutor sent this case to a judge, and willfully, deliberately, and in my view criminally withheld exculpatory evidence.
He added: They denied the judge the right to see pictures that showed Zimmerman with his nose broken and his head bashed in. The prosecution should be investigated for civil rights violations, and civil liberty violations.(continued)

LOL.... yes, Holder would certainly be wetting himself.
Ouch.... I see what you mean.
Well, they have it today, which should remove any lingering doubt.

Hope this fired IT director was smart enough to copy and will go public with it. Hope he is smart enough to sue to get his job back, along with the demoted detective and replaced police chief (replaced by a black chief)
The MSM will ignore.
So far the demonstrations have been low key, at least compared to the Rodney King Riots. But the Sons of Obama will definitely amp up there anti-white activities ... so stay vigilant. Since the Usurpation, the natives have been acting out much more violently than usual, or so it seems to me.
The Mombasa MF is encouraging this, cynically exploiting the stupid. He hopes that the inevitable reaction to the planned violence will allow him to crack down harder on the opposition to his rule, IOW, those remaining folks who can read and write on the same day while chewing gum.
Every once in a while, Dersh stuns me. In this article, he did it twice.
The first one was siding with Zim’s side.
The second, as you mention, were his closing comments. How would anyone in their right mind want to walk a shaky neighborhood with nothing but a walkie talkie? That just makes you a challenging target. Maybe even an initiation for a gang. Steal a neighborhood watch guy’s walkie talkie.
Libs have to learn to think through their crazy ideas.
Thanks, I will get on the suggestion as soon as I get going in the morning.
This trial was of course, an absolute triumph for Obama. He has solidified his base among the unruly dole-natives of the ghetto and given his Lefties a new Alger Hiss, a new Rosenberg Duo, to talk about.
I told my kids I didn't ever understand a word Obama says. My kids said, "That's OK, Pa, you're not supposed to." And that FRiends, is division.
They will need him in federal court, which is entirely about politics. If you have no political muscle you are finished.
Don’t be distracted. The Federal government is going to use sleight of hand, to keep our attention focussed on riots and demonstrations like the ones in Oakland, San Francisco and elsewhere, to try and give Boehner and Cantor breathing room to force amnesty for illegal aliens down our throats. DON’T LET THEM DO THIS!!
Probably not going to help. Scott was complicit in moving the Zimmerman trial forward.
Sir first I'd like to request that you immediately order a full and comprehensive investigation into the actions of State Attorney Angela Cory during the entire George Zimmerman arrest and trial for clear prosecutorial misconduct in not providing the defense with timely void dire documents as required by state law. I'd also like to request that you order an immediate Judicial Qualification Commission report on the judge in that case for clear bias resulting in malfeasance and conduct unbecoming a judicial official in the state of Florida.
Both of those officials make me somewhat ashamed to say I live in the State of Florida. Somewhat. But then I remember that thanks to the wonderful laws in our state this innocent man went free and he will likely be successful in avoiding both a federal prosecution and a wrongful death lawsuit mounted by the decedents family. God Bless the GUN-shine State!
Ha! I would just be satisfied to hear him warn the Black Panthers et al that the laws of Florida will be enforced to the fullest in the face of illegal bounties and ransoms. I have come to see that Gov. Scott is an unprincipled coward! He sicked this unethical prosecutor onto Zimmerman with no guidance to what is tolerable.
What Democrap would be worse?
.
.
Yes he was. However I believe he was following Pam Bondi’s advise to appoint State Attorney Angela Corey.
I WILL hold Governor Scott accountable if he does NOT call for a complete investigation of Angela Corey’s actions from the very beginning of George Zimmerman’s arrest and through the trial.
And the legal community will not force the issue that Corey committed libel calling Zimmerman a murderer even after the verdict.
