Today, July 12th, is DAY #24 (of 5th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.

Today the defense attorney, Mark O’Mara will present his closing argument. Then the prosecution rebuttal.

A curious aspect of Liberal Mind Fog Disorder is that things which are consistent with their world view don't bother them. If an overt racist were to start shooting a bunch of black school kids for no reason, they'd want him to be punished, but if he were somehow acquitted the reaction wouldn't be nearly as severe as in this case, since they could simply chalk it up to his being protected by racist police force. The real problem in the GZ case is that while liberals might claim he was being protected from by racist police force, an acquittal would force them to face the truth: TM is dead because of his decision to attack GZ. The more strongly the evidence would point to that conclusion, the stronger the liberals' insistence that GZ must be convicted.
I just went outside to clear my head a little. I’ve been taking yucky pain meds the doc gave me while recovering from surgery. I cut the dose in half but still seem not normal. Maybe that’s what made me think George is drugged ..cause I am!
At any rate I would be delighted to have him as a neighbor as well ..there’s an article (don’t remember where I read it) about the kindness he’s shown to some of the children in his neighborhood - in particular a little black boy-I remember it said he helped raise money for the boy’s church.
I’ve wondered how he sits there listening to the prosecution.

Yes but DID SHE CRY? People keep saying she did but earlier when I was on this thread and it was reported only by the AP it APPEARED that she wiped her eye. Yet no other court reporters mentioned it and one said that lady has wiped at her eyes a few times during testimony but she was not upset or crying.

Can't help but wonder though, if you were Z's lawyer, with a jury of 6, how confident would you be that an acquittal was possible if you had one black (male or female) on the jury?

I used to think Juan Williams was a decent human being. I think he’s a total disgrace now. I have watched his comments and he makes me sick. I now believe he’s as racist as a Nazi POS from 1939. The whole liberal establishment make me want to vomit, and if there are riots, may they get caught in the middle of it to reap what they sew.
Reports say one juror was crying during the prosecution’s final melodrama, they may be hung already.
The right to defend yourself comes from God and is inalienable. There isn't enough government owned judges or lawyers in all the land nor time on earth to prosecute all those who might exercise that right in troubled times. Which seems to be where this government is steering us, for whatever evil purpose.
If anything, this event should your strengthen our resolve to protect that God given right even more.
