Today, July 12th, is DAY #24 (of 5th week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case.

Yesterday the prosecution provide closing arguments (Summary: http://legalinsurrection.com/2013/07/states-closing-argument-two-hours-of-raising-doubt).

Today the defense attorney, Mark O’Mara will present his closing argument. Then the prosecution rebuttal.

If it were an all male jury, do you think most everyone would think that was a jury of his peers and was fair for all involved?

This whole 'jury of his peers' stuff is a myth. It is not law.

If it were, then most murder trials, robbery, rape, etc. would have to get their jury pool at the nearest STATE PENITENTIARY.

Guilty or Not Guilty...there will be riots anyway, if found not guilty, massive riots, if found guilty, well they are all geared up to riot, maybe not massive but pockets of celebratory rioting all around the country, like after a ball game, it will none the less be bloody...just my prediction.

The vast majority of women vote for Democrats and Obama, so I don't know about that.
Women in general tend to vote far left than right if you go by the statistics.

Yet again, there are for sure strong conservative women just as there are strong conservative black people.

Let’s just say that those who claim the jurors are idiots because they are women, will probably be ranting about how ‘smart’ the women are, should they come back, very quickly, with a NOT GUILTY finding.

In my experience, as a male, I have found most women have an uncanny ability to see through BS after a lifetime of dealing with us men. :) My trust is in this jury to do the right thing, and I think they will and come back with a quick 'not guilty'

I’m a single mom, raising a 10 year old daughter, sending her to private catholic school. I live in Texas, I’m a proud gunowner, Master’s degree, support myself, my daughter and provide very well...I’M A HARDCORE CONSERVATIVE - always have been, always will be.

Divorced her lame father for personal reasons...no saving that marriage - went against all my family values. Found a lovely man to get married to soon; and will now have a 2nd chance to provide an even more stable home environment and look forward to having a better father figure for my daughter. Ugh...NOT THAT I NEED TO JUSTIFY MY DECISIONS TO YOU!!

Not to divert from the topic at hand, but I’m sick of seeing alot of stereotyping of ALL SINGLE/DIVORCED MOM’S...We aren’t all on the govt. teet! I guess I’m the exception to the rule.

Aside from that ^^^^^...this trial is a freakin’ travisty and mockery of what is left of our justice system - which isn’t anything.

I hope and pray the jury returns a NOT GUILTY verdict TODAY - let them freakin’ riot - I’m ready.

I’ll tell you one group of people who are really nervous about a not guilty verdict and that’s the HOA board who voted to settle the lawsuit.

Now their defense might be given the state’s filing of 2nd degree murder charges, their decision was the only prudent course open to them, all things considered. In that case would they or their insurers have a claim against Corey for filing bad-faith charges against Zim?
