I formerly wrote speeches for candidates and incumbents.

I assure you....this closing argument is baaaaad....in many ways.

His voice is tinny and abrasive and he lapses into an irritatingly-piping falsetto when he gets excited.

Subject-wise he's all over the place. There's very little "smoothness" as he goes from point to point. A jury, dumb as it may be, wants legal substance, believe it or not. They know that's what they're there for. They want meat and potatoes and he's giving them alternately syrup and Dear Abby, interlaced with repeated profane "trigger" words designed to arouse negative emotions....but hardly any LAW.

The jurors no doubt are entranced right now.....because his dramatics may be fascinating to some.....but they'll grow disenchanted after a while. The jurors will grow soon grow tired of him because who likes a long-winded used-car salesman spiel!

I predict the defense's closing argument will be quieter, softer, factual, truthful...and O'Mara will skillfully use the stiletto rather than the sledgehammer with great success.

you make good points

that falsetto he is going into in almost ever sentence is driving me crazy

Comment From D Smith :
The State Attorney’s exaggerated voice is coming across as defensive. Doesn’t the state have to prove the guilt? He is poking holes in the defenses case.

closing arguments are not the real definitive place you win your case.

Generally the pre-trial motions, jury instructions, and PHYSICAL testimony is where the action is going to matter.

shutting down the faux rebuttal testimony was good.

shutting out the man 3 was good.

the judge permissivly allowing manslaughter is bad.

keeping crump out of courtroom was good.

Couldn't agree with you more, my friend!

I pray for George Zimmerman and that the jury sees through all the BS and finds Zimmerman NOT GUILTY!

Rush's comments have said it all! Obvious it has been a racist lynching of George Zimmerman from the beginning...when the New York Times referred to Zimmerman as the “White Hispanic who murdered a young Black teen.” And of course the Times and all the Media showed nothing but the picture of Travon Martin when he was 12 years old!
