It’s been a great week for gay activists, but Dr. Cornel West is not happy. As the postmodern professor par excellence explained to radio host Tavis Smiley last Sunday, the advances made by gays and lesbians mean that “we black folk are just being pushed to the back of the bus”:
Again this has something to do of course with what history books will say. The irony of the age of Obama in which black folks found themselves pushed to the back, [and] our gay brothers and lesbian sisters more and more pushed to the center.
Perhaps West is right, and identity politics really is a zero-sum game. Then again, the good doctor may simply be suffering from a touch of radical conditionedness.
It’s inevitable that the protected groups will eventually be pitted against each other.
Isn’t it wonderful?

In a way, I want them to get married and adopt children. That way, they can be broke and not have time to do things like the rest of us and thus be much less of a political force.

As with most things this is about money.
Although gays are few in number compared to blacks they have considerably more disposable income per capita than blacks.
Gays for the most part do not have dependents and there for they have the potential to accumulate wealth at a younger age than child rearing parents.
This of course is recognized by Democrats as money available for political contributions. The Democrats at the same time recognize that blacks vote Democrat on average 90% of the time and have shown that they willingly forgive the Democrats most any transgression.
So after the 2010 election the Gay coalition made it clear to the Democrat Party that they had enough of the empty promises and that Obama’s continued statements of no support for Gay marige and that either Obama make good on the party’s support of Gay marriage or the “Gayvee” train would come to a halt.
Want to know the ‘Why’ of what the Dims do? Follow the money.
Blacks should wise up and understand that the Democrats will continue to take advantage of them and ignore them as long as they vote Democrat exclusively. Why should Democratic leadership do anything for Blacks that cost them support from another side of their party when know that no matter what the blacks will show up at the polls and vote a strait Democrat ticket?
Wait till he sees what illegals are gonna get.

Hah! As black blind allegiance to the CPUSA(communist party of the USA aka democrats) is accepted by the ruling elite as a given, why should they not try and divide the country further and make slave quarters for the sodomites and criminal trespassers?
The communists know blacks will never leave the plantation of the Progressive dems.
I won’t feel too smug though as I know fully well the progressives are well on to their way of assimilating the remains of the GOP and we are letting them get away with it.
If Cornel thinks times are tough now, wait until the communist DemocRATS get their 40 million new voters from Mexico. The blacks can just about hang it up. Their time is over. The ‘RATS won’t need them anymore.
