Today, June 28th, is DAY #15 (of 3rd week) State of Florida V. George Zimmerman case. [Yesterday] … it was simply not a very good day at all for the prosecution. The primary State witnesses today were Rachel Jeantel, Jenna Lauer, and Selma Mora.
The first had her credibility substantively destroyed, the second was powerfully–almost humiliatingly–co-opted by the defense, and the third provided testimony entirely consistent with the defense’s theory of lawful self-defense. (continue reading)

Don’t know for sure, but I bet it’s some of both.
The Zs had a sizeable defense fund; I don’t think they got a lot of it taken away at the bail stage but I could be wrong.
O’Mara seems to be a decent guy who isn’t going to get Z halfway and then leave him high and dry. So I guess you could call that some “pro bono”. Of course, for someone in a service business, sticking around generates goodwill whereas walking away generates bad will, so it’s kind of a business decision.
Then too, this trial has already catapaulted both West and O’Mara into that “whole ‘nuther level” of fame, which can be parlayed into $$$. If — sorry, *when* — O’Mara and West get the acquittal, their cachet (and hourly rate) should soar.
And that doesn’t even include possible book deals, seminar and speaking fees, ...
So, for a savvy attorney with the long view for his practice, the intangibles from doing this trial may alone make sticking it out for uncertain pay a good idea.

We pray not only for the offended party, but also for the offenders -- that they amend their ways before vengeance is extracted. For all of us are guilty to have offended somewhere down the line, and we don't want anyone (no matter how much we might be 'ticked off' at the moment) to fall into the hands of the Living God without repentance and full reliance on our Saviour.

Holder as little barry bastard boy’s lawman, wanted this trial to distract fromt he devastation little barry is raining down on America. Bread and circuses usually do the trick with simple folks. George Zimmerman’s fate is nothing to Holder and co., so he is merely a tool for distracting the deadhead masses. The side benefit in Barry Obama’s eyes is the division this helps to incite. Divide and conquer is an old but well wore trick which works nearly every time it is used.
I’ve been without A/C for nearly a month. Today, after many missteps (scheduling, vacation, surgery, wrong parts, blah-blah), they installed a new A/C unit. They left just an hour ago. It’s coooooooling down in here. :D
I bet the WH is delighted this trial is going on. Helps take away from the other news. He should make DeeDee an ambassador for her contribution!
I would definitely want someone like O’Mara defending me if I ever got into this kind of trouble.
And I’ll state it again.... this kind of screwed-up situation could happen to any of us. All that’s required is a bit of bad luck and bad timing.
What bothers me is...the worry that if I am ever attacked by some thug...especially if he/she is black... will I remember this fiasco at a crucial moment and hesitate before firing to save my lfe?
A question every one of us needs to ask ourselves and be prepared to deal with if and when.
If the racist leftists have their way, we would ALL hesitate and not fire that fatal shot to save our lives.
Are they trying to instigate a war between black and hispanics?
