SANFORD, Fla. (TheBlaze/AP) George Zimmerman was fed up with punks getting away with crime and shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin because he wanted to, not because he had to, prosecutors argued Monday, while the neighborhood watch volunteers attorney said the killing was self-defense against a young man who was slamming Zimmermans head against the pavement.

The 911 dispatcher, Sean Noffke, testified that he had advised Zimmerman not to follow Martin.
That is a big hit to the defense. Zimmerman’s lawyer better explain why it does not matter what the dispatcher says or Zimmerman is sunk! I have always thought that was the biggest mistake that Zimmerman made....not listening to the good advice of the 911 dispatcher.
Exactly true.
Zimmerman fired his first two attorneys, who were passionate defenders of self-defense.
Mark O’Mara is a TV legal analyst, a lifelong Democrat, and has NEVER defended a completely innocent man.
I dunno....but is anything really erased in this digital world?
Totally agree. His attorney seems timid and childish.
He bought the Skittles and a can of Arizona Watermelon Iced Tea. Apparently one or both are used in combination with cough syrup to make a mixture to get high.
What struck me from the video, besides the obvious difference in sizes between the adult clerk and the “innocent little Trayvon” is that he looked stoned as he wandered in and around the store for 9 minutes.
And how long did it take him to go through his pockets to find the right amount of money to give to the clerk...
The only place the martin side has any power is in the Idiocracy world of the court of public opinion. REAL courts are much more immune to that nonsense. Their only hope is to override it somehow. And I don’t know how they do that.
This is gonna be a rout.
LOL! Forever! Stupid and/or stoned. Take your pick.
And, you have NO evidence that Zimmerman did not listen to the dispatcher.
The tape clearly shows Noffke told him “we don’t need you to do that”...he never advised him not to follow Martin. Frankly there is inconsistency even with the idea he did not want him to follow St. Trayvon because he kept asking where is he now or what is he doing.
Regardless of whether he followed him or not or whether he was told not to do it, the timeline confirmed by various witness accounts demonstrates that Trayvon ( I know how difficult this is to those who believe he is a St.) confronted Zimmerman, asked why he was following him and the results were that he began pummeling Zimmerman. It is hard to retreat when someone is on top of you (eye witness testamony to that) beating your skull into the cement. Zim fired one round after yelling for help to no avail.
Hopefully yes. The prosecution is relying upon feelings while the defense has a host of facts. If they get them in logically and without a rambling presentation, it will be game set match for Zim. The prosecution is like the madison ave types verses the defense which is like a bunch of bumpkins but those bumpkins goin to outsmart dem boys.
Frankly, if not for the race pimps and a complicit governor, Zimmerman could have won a “Stand your Ground” ruling. He had every right to be where he was and he was in fear for his life from Trayvon Martin beating the crap out of him.
*THIS* is why the Sanford PD didn’t charge him for so long.
Did Sanford charge him? I thought the prosecutor from Jacksonville decided to prosecute him because Sanford had not.
BTW, along with the Gov, don’t forget the stae attorney general having a hand in this rail roading.
Even without knowing what he said today, it’s a certainty that the writer got it wrong.
I think that the defense laid down a breadcrumb today by having the clerk give his height — 5’10”. I’d say from looking at that video that TM is four or maybe five inches taller than that.
Somebody wrote over at TCTH today: “’If you see something, say something’ — so we can use it against you later.”
That will absolutely be must-see TV. If O’Mara has been taking notes from TCTH, that cross examination will be worthy of its own helium-filled bulletproof-glass box in the Library of Congress.
John Guy opening statement: The defendant told the police that at one point Trayvon Martin ran behind some townhomes and then came back out, circled his car, and then ran back again.
Wit 8 Letter: Then he decided to find a shortcut cause the man wouldnt follow him. The he said the man didnt follow him again.
Martin was trying to lure Zimmerman out of the safety of his vehicle for a beatdown. The Witness 8 letter is pretty clear in that regard. It was Martin who profiled Zimmerman, stalked him, sucker punched him and beat him down like a dog, until the dog fought back the only way he could.
I look forward to Witness 8 as everyone else does.
