Zimmermans jury is 100 percent women and 0 percent African-American.
This jury needed at least one African-American jury member, and one male. The selected panel can certainly be impartial, but because previous racially charged trials focused on the jury, the Zimmerman trial attorneys should have been aware of how the make-up could impact responses outside of the courtroom and, potentially, to the safety of the jurors.
The George Zimmerman prosecution and defense teams should have considered the potential for such a response in this case, because race was at issue from the outset.
This case should not be about race, but the attorneys failure to pick a more diverse group of six people is certain to reignite the issue, especially if the 100 percent all-female/non-African-American jury finds Mr. Zimmerman not guilty.

“the Zimmerman trial attorneys should have been aware of how the make-up could impact responses outside of the courtroom “
The violence caused by this show trial is not the problem of Zimmerman’s lawyers.
Their concern is getting this innocent man to walk.
If Florida burns, perhaps the State will reconsider bringing charges against innocent people for racial reasons.
That may not exactly be true because Juror B29 may be a Black Hispanic.
I do not know, most appeals are on technicalities anyway.
In jury selection either party can challenge a particular juror for cause, i.e. that because of something specific to that juror, the juror is not impartial. Much of the selection process is taken up with this. That is the reason for all the questioning. The judge may or may not agree that a challenged juror is biased and can deny a challenge. Each side then has peremptory challenges which they can use to strke a juror for any reason they want and they do not have to explain. Usually each side has 3 challenges.
So it could happen that a juror that was challenged for cause ends up on the jury anyway because the court disagreed and the defense used up its peremptory challenges on 3 worse jurors. This could give a basis for appeal. Tough argument however.
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.
I have no concern at all for what a bunch of lazy, inbred, undereducated, mouth-breathing pimps and crack ho's have to say about the eventual verdict. If the verdict is fairly based upon the evidence with no consideration for race, emotions, or any other unnecessary effluvia (i.e., if Zimmerman is found innocent of all charges...), then the rest of the anthropoid jabberers can go screw a melon for all I care.
And if the brain-dead Obamabots decide to riot because they don't like justice, I say hose 'em all off with a .30 caliber machine gun. This town ain't big enough for their bigoted, racist asses.
;-\
Actually, any U.S. city with a significant black thug population is at risk. They are waiting for any excuse to riot.
Ohhh and BTW it was the state the struck the only African American male from the panel.
“.....and 0 percent African-American.”
What could possibly go wrong here? Just askin.
Frankly, people who live in any major city with a significant black population should be prepared for rioting in the event that Zimmerman is not lynched by the jury and the court.
You might want to stock up regardless of where you live.
If you haven’t already.
‘we need white riots ‘
Considering that The ZMan is hispanic, are whites now relegated to doing the rioting that hispanics will not do?
Can any locals link the statement Mark NeJame gave this morning on CH13 that INFERRED the State was going to have a hard time proving the case. Reference was to very weak facts/proof and weak witnesses against George.
He said state witnesses on speech recognation “were all Voodoo “.
I believe he doubts State will be allowed to call them in.
I’ve over spent my yearly allowance, already this year @ CTD!

Just another train on the railroad.
When you have a known criminal and confessed racist as the head of the Justice department, what do you expect.
Why is this case getting so much attention? This kind of crap goes on EVERY day! Guy gets attacked, kills the attacker. End of story. So what is it? Is it the Kenyan and his “could have been my son” comment? My theory is it’s the media doing just what they did in the Rodney King case: They make it all about race in a willful attempt to cause a riot.
The judge has said that she’s going to hold the verdict for two whole hours to give police an opportunity to get prepared.
That’s not going to be long enough. She needs to hold it until early morning on the Saturday following. It’s not just a matter of the cops being ready, the urban cores need to be cleared of suburbanite workers who will get caught in the middle of whatever happens. And very few employers, particularly outside the immediate vicinity of the trial, are going to tell or permit their employees to go home.
