... Obama is set to lay out his vision for advancing toward a world free of nuclear weapons during a speech Wednesday at the historic Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.
A senior administration official says Mr. Obama will propose the United States and Russia cut their number of strategic nuclear warheads by up to one third below the level agreed to in a 2009 treaty.
That pact, called the New START agreement, calls for the two countries to reduce their arsenal to 1,550 deployed strategic warheads by 2018.

I’m convinced that Obama will move to eliminate all our nukes about a year before he leaves office. I wonder if anyone in DC will raise when Obama implements this by Executive Order. My thought is that they’ll just roll over for political expedience. And no doubt the MSM will cheer this situation. Everyone will be oblivious to be obvious dangers.
If we get nuked, the [surviving] liberals will just blame Bush. Obama, of course, will be living overseas when this happens.

I have the same sentiment.
In fact, reducing weapons levels below a certain point will make nuclear war thinkable. Especially if one side cheats on the terms of a treaty, as the Russians have been known to do.
Thinkable and winnable.
KNAVE , PLAIN STUPID ,or SUICIDAL ,,, you decide .
They have to reduce to make it easier for China to catch up.
We are almost there. The point where we could relive Pearl Harbor only on a massive scale.
All Because we surrender our strength in the gullible attempt to gain some sort of world respect, when in fact the world and history will have only contempt for weakness.
I have only contempt for those who see virtue in making us vulnerable.
