Conservative activists are planning to storm Capitol Hill on Wednesday for what they are predicting will be the largest Tea Party protest since 2010.
The protest drawing tea partiers like TV host Glenn Beck and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul is in response to the Internal Revenue Services recent admission that it has been specifically targeting conservative groups for extra scrutiny.
The gathering on the West Lawn of the Capitol is being called the Audit the IRS Rally.

” Don’t get your shorts tied in a knot.”
Live in Los Angeles for 30 years, and tell me about my shorts. Much of America will resemble L.A. in just a few years, if Boehner sells us out.
RE: The protest drawing tea partiers like TV host Glenn Beck and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul
Where’s Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin, Michael Lee, Marco Rubio, Allen West, Michelle Bachmann, etc. All of them were supported by the Tea Party.
Yeah, don’t get worked up over 100 million new citizens from third world nations in less than 20 years.
You know, I’m wondering what you get worked up over, if not this.
Go to their residences and harrass them and their families...also do the same to Chuckie Schumer and Al Franken and that old fart from Michigan whatever his name is.
TOMORROW, !!!
just like they send their union goons to peoples houses and see how they like it
Michelle Bachmann should be there, unless she’s in conference. This could be the start of Palin’s 2016 campaign. Why do I have a feeling she’ll be there?
Rand Paul? Will he be there to appeal to the illegals?
They're lucky they haven't had them burned down yet.
This is one event of two tomorrow, both held at the capital. They are taking turns at the mic.
The other event is Michelle Bachmann’s and Steve King’s and Louis Gohmert’s (et al) event in which a public Lincoln-Douglas style debate will be held from the same stage, ALL ABOUT THE IMMIGRATION BILL DISASTER. The people putting this part of the rally on are those who have challenged Boehner to invoke the Hastert rule. They are going to talk about WHAT IS IN THE BILL FROM THE SENATE. They are going to stand for passing nothing out of the House because it is a trojan horse to get into a sellout conference with the senate.
You have it backwards. Michelle et al have organized this group of members and have called upon the tea party people to come out and support them, and to get all their issues out, too.
Seventy House Republicans have signed up for this stand.
I have no objection to a protest, but the politicians will be making speeches there.
This means emotional wedge speaking that will advance political careers and could fool grassroots conservatives.
The IRS issue is important, but it will be interesting to track the emotional politicians who will address the crowd tomorrow when they vote on amnesty.
A good Tea Party protest to me is one where the politicians see the crowd and hear the grievances, but are not allowed to speak so they (the politicians) can’t play to the crowd.
OVER 90 PERCENT OF THE REPUBLICANS WE HAVE ELECTED AND PHONIES AND I SUSPECT SOME WILL ADDRESS THAT CROWD TOMORROW.
” The IRS issue is important, but it will be interesting to track the emotional politicians who will address the crowd tomorrow when they vote on amnesty.”
exactly. Good point.
OVER 90 PERCENT OF THE REPUBLICANS WE HAVE ELECTED ARE PHONIES AND SOME WILL SPEAK TOMORROW NO DOUBT.
Agreed. But even if amnesty is stopped completely in the legislature, the lawless actions of this Obamination will continue as de facto amnesty - refusing to enforce the laws, opposing any and all election integrity efforts by states, leaving the border wide open and forbidding the guarding of it, etc.
It's already been proven that illegals are voting.
” Agreed. But even if amnesty is stopped completely in the legislature, the lawless actions of this Obamination will continue as de facto amnesty -”
Of course, but it won’t be as bad as legislated amnesty with chain migration. One bullet dodged at a time.
This rally has been in the news for weeks... maybe months. There was a story posted on FR a long time ago about the TP having trouble getting the final permit to hold the rally. “Short notice”? Nope.
Well, I am on several tea party email lists.....nary a word was heard. What can I tell ya? Short notice....yup.
I agree. Although the Tea Party sponsored the rally, there will be dems, reps, independents, black, white ... folks from all over who are not TP members. This scandal crosses party lines.
As for why isn’t Cruz speaking... he was invited but chose not to.
Correction... I just checked the Tea Party website and it has Cruz listed as “expected to attend”.
