Three hundred US Marines have been deployed to northern Jordan to pave the way for the West to arm Syrian rebels.
A Patriot anti-aircraft missile system, designed to protect Jordanian territory from attack by Assad missiles, has also been moved into the area.
There was a “former” Taliban commander that was written up a year or two ago. He was using USA SAT phones to call in NATO strikes to support the “freedom” fighters in Libya. While this commander was later killed in action IIRC, many others have taken his place to continue the fight elsewhere - Syria today, ??? tomorrow.

Someone mentioned a while back that Assad’s Syria was one of the few places in the Middle East that treated Christians decently. I hadn’t been aware of that until then. That’s interesting isn’t it.

With Russia arming Bashar al-Assad, Obama’s decision to arm the rebels means he’s re-enacting the Vietnam War in the Middle East.
Yet the modern Democratic party was born out of fierce opposition to the Vietnam War during the 1960s. Obama’s good friend Bill Ayres was a 60’s anti-war radical, as were John Kerry and the Clintons.
So now the same generation of Democrats who once, when they were of draft age, so strongly opposed President Johnson for getting us into Vietnam, now, as adults who control power, strongly support Barack Obama who’s getting us into Vietnam War II in Syria.
He will have thousands more Christian scalps for his trophy room.
