A group supporting an open-borders policy on immigration is trying to use the nationwide release of Man of Steel to further its cause. We Are the American Way, a project from Define American, has a new site dubbed "Superman Is an Immigrant" meant to piggyback on the cultural conversation around the superhero film.
"Superman is an American. Like Superman, we are the American way," the site's sub-head reads.
Born on Krypton, he came to this country with the promise of Hope - the symbol he bears on his chest. Many of our families also have a history of immigration. We share Superman’s hope and we continue his fight for truth, justice and the American Way.
The site features images of pro-amnesty supporters holding hand drawn images of the iconic "S" emblazoned on the character's chest.
Define American founder Jose Antonio Vargas wrote a blog on the subject, signing off with a paraphrase of the character's signature line, "In truth and justice," but leaving out "The American Way.

But do they believe in “ Truth, Justice, and The American Way?
He was adopted by John/Jonathan/Eben and Mary/Martha/Sarah Kent. Best I know, they are American citizens. I am sure that he could be naturalized if it were not for the Hague convention and mandatory immunizations.

Until Ted Kennedy (D-Hell) pushed the changes in immigration law to get rid of usfull immigrants in favor of poor communist minded peasants, skilled immigrants had very little problem obtaining work and travel visas. Basically the superman that landed in the 30’s would have little trouble gaining legal status. Todays immigration policies would have him waiting behind a horde of undeducated muslim Somali’s.
When their country blows up, we'll see about letting them in. Meanwhile:
Kal-El could not return to his home planet. Furthermore, he had special skills that would be valuable to the United States. Also, he was not bringing in his entire family.
