“I pray it works “
I say amen to that.
I don’t know much about cystic fibrosis. What I am wondering is this; if the disease has destroyed her current lungs what’s to prevent the same thing from happening to her new lungs?

She still has a hard row ahead. It is trading one illness for another. For my awareness, what are the difficulties that lung transplant recipients face, during and after the operation, and also near term and long term?
Thanks.

I am praying for this little angel that God will heal her and protect her from this Communist government we are stuck with.let her have a normal life..
I”ll bet the old Hag that refused to help Sarah isn't to happy now she did not succeed in murdering Sarah..throwing her power around saying who can live and who can die.. I call her the executioner.

It generally is not good for lung donors.

Too numerous to list all. Rejection is probably the numer one problem. She will have to take expensive meds for the rest of her life, These lungs are a foreign object in her body. In Sarah’s case, if she survives longer than the first year, will probably have to have another tx as she grows.Children receiving adult lungs prospect of longevity is greatly reduced. I feel badly for her and her family. In my case, I have raised my family and am a widow, so I have chosen not to go the transplant route.

Lord please bring her through this and set her on a blessed course.

Looking forward to her future Super Bowl ad where she tells America that “Government Bureaucrat Kathleen Sebelius tried to kill me.”

“Some adult probably with children had to drop back”
It’s ok to be honest. Someone will probably die because they didn’t get the lung that political pressure dictated this little girl get priority access to.
Prayers to that nameless faceless individual who does not have the press access and political connections to save their life.

CF is genetic so the new lungs will not have the faulty gene and she should get some relief in her breathing. Sarah still has CF though and if she has sinus, pancreatic and liver involvement she still has to deal with those issues. Most likely her sinuses are involved and she is still susceptable to infections that could then infect her lungs. She will be on anti rejection drugs the rest of her life. God bless her and all those who are waiting for their chance to breathe.

Good because you can bet the farm Sebilius isn’t praying for her!

What hope? that she will come out of the procedure alive? I am so frustrated that people do not understand that just because she got “new” lungs that is going to be right with the world
