LA PAZ, Bolivia – Villagers in Bolivia's southern highlands buried a man alive in the grave of the woman he is suspected of having raped and murdered, an official said Thursday. Police had identified 17-year-old Santos Ramos as the possible culprit in the attack on 35-year-old Leandra Arias Janco Sunday in a Quechua community near the municipality of Colquechaca, said Jose Luis Barrios, the chief prosecutor in Potosi province where the community is located.
Enraged, more than 200 community members seized Ramos and buried him alive alongside his alleged victim Wednesday night, according to Barrios. He said residents on Thursday blocked the road to the community, preventing police and prosecutors from reaching it.

Well, case closed and filed I guess. More than likely this would have been the jury pool so they voted sans trial.
I’d like to say, “That works for me”, as long as the guys are guilty of major crimes. Unfortunately this can’t go on long before some crowd kills the wrong guy. That would be a shame.
Good thing Marco Rubio wasn’t around....he’d give the rapist murderer amnesty.

I’m going to take a wild guess here-—recidivism is probably not much of a problem in that locale.
This is communist Bolivia, led by Evo Morales. The fact this guy didn’t get a trial is rather troubling.
You are right. These stories sound good until you learn that the guy they killed in such a horrible manner really wasn’t the rapist.
However... if he were tried and found guilty... I actually kind of like that type of capital punishment. THAT’LL throw some fear into the potential perp population.
Part of me is aghast at this with the thought that he might have been innocent.
But the other part of me is standing on my chair cheering out loud assuming that the villagers proved he was guilty and then performed an exactly perfect execution.
If we did more of these in this country we’d have less crime. Every murderer should be buried alive under their victims casket (but give them enough air to last a couple days and think about what they’ve done. Who knows maybe they will repent and ask God for forgiveness)
I bet that deep down he’s a really good person.
This is a very small village. The citizens KNOW who the culprits are. They’ve seen them/lived next door/watched them grow up. Every nasty little trick they’ve pulled is known to the citizens.
Just imagine the muffled screams...for a brief period....
