BREAKING: CA Senate Votes to Ban All Semi-Automatic Rifles With Detachable Magazines
The Truth About Guns.com | 29 May 2013 | Robert Farago

Posted on 05/30/2013 3:51:28 PM PDT by Windflier

After Connecticut upped the anti ante, The Golden State Senate is doing its level best to reclaim its title as America’s number one slave state. To that end, “The California Senate on Wednesday approved a package of seven gun control bills, including background checks for people who buy ammunition, introduced in response to the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.” Well, the latimes.com would say that wouldn’t they? Not to mention burying the big kahuna in the tenth paragraph. “The Senate also approved a bill that would outlaw the sale, purchase and manufacture in California of semiautomatic rifles that can accept detachable magazines. SB 374 also would require those who own such weapons to register them with the state.” Welcome back my friends to the nightmare that never ends. More details in the morning.

SB 374 also would require those who own such weapons to register them with the state.”

Remember kids, cell phones, I pads, tablets, are all
weapons to the state.

In the soviet union, ownership of a printing press
or even access to one could be worth your life, so
keep that in mind.

Unconstitutional via US v. Miller and then recited in DC v. Heller.

So my Ruger 10-22 is now an outlawed gun in CA?

Hooboy. I now have to figure out how to get baby Bro’s 60-gun safe into my basement. He went from law-abiding citizen to felon overnight.

These idiots also voted to ban bullet button mag releases, which is strange because they created bullet button mag releases via law.

For all you CA men (I write that with wonder), real men have ambidextrous magazine releases that drop standard capacity (30 round) magazines from their MSRs.

This has gone too far already, but this is getting to the point you won’t be able to own a gun in CA.

I am glad I am not living in CA, but it should alarm everyone how unconstitutional these State laws are getting.

This may end badly.

My .17 caliber is illegal in CA? I’m ashamed that I was born there. I found Texas when I was 17, thank God.

And, I as read it elsewhere, you (or, a kalifornian) can't transfer or sell it. I guess it becomes the property of the state, by default.

SB 374, which prohibits the sale, purchase, manufacture, importation or transfer of semi-automatic rifles that can accept detachable magazines

Stop waving that useless piece of paper around! Seriously, I’m not trying to be a jerk, I’m being serious about recognizing the reality we find ourselves in these days. We are Chamberlin when it comes to the Constitution at this point!

There will be thousands of new felons created...Grandfathers, veterans, moms, pastors, etc who will not comply and not register their guns. These are unConstitutional infringements on our enumerated rights, and Democrats will be crossing the line into full blown Marxist tyranny.

Not to mention these laws will not stop criminals, or mass shootings..not one bit.

Democrats are going to cause themselves the worst beating in 2014/16 they’ve ever seen.

Jerry Brown...you sign these...you will be responsible for your parties national suicide and the Tea Party will be there holding signs with your face on it.

He went from law-abiding citizen to felon overnight.

Doesn't the governor (moonbeam brown) have to sign them into law?

Thankfully I don’t live in CA. I live in MD, a state trying to be like CA, but not there quite yet.

People pass laws against that which they fear. The Third World trash that has captured our California government is frightened of a backlash and they are terrified of modern weapons in the hands of people not from the Third World. Those in California government know they are treading upon us. They will move heaven and earth to confiscate any and all guns. That is their goal up the road.

Yep. And the laws have to survive the inevitable legal challenges. But when your liberty depends on the Constitutional analysis of Governor Moonbeam, you got trouble right there in River City.

They also passed a $50 background-check fee to buy ammo!
