We quickly need to wipe our hands of the unsolvable ME problems and start taking care of the problems of the USA before were a third world country. We citizens never accepted that the USA have a new face and culture; thats something that gives the pandering pols and commies a wet dream and they forced it on us.
Gets my vote...To bad we've been undermined to the point don't have enough guts to build fortress America...Develop our own resources and still trade with voodoo worshiping fanatics and strangos...Like loafs of bread for $800 a pop, and we start building our own stuff again.
Too bad we've been taken over by the greedy and corrupt who worship profits regardless of consequences, where the government ruling class insiders are above the law, living like royalty, as they command the lowly peons to fight their squabbles and protect their power and wealth.
To bad America won't tell them all to take their nightmare globalism and SIUTA's.

The interesting thing is that the Bear is the symbol of the USSR. The symbol of Russia under the Tsars and even now is the Eagle

Gog and Magog are not Russia.
The myth dates back to the 1800s and is wrong -- as per Assyrian Royal Court records dealing with nations -- the Assyrian Court records show dealings with Magog, Meshech, Tubal, and Togarmah (Ezekiel 38:3-6), the nations that stretched across ancient Asia Minor (modern Turkey) from west to east. From these records we also learn that the ancient nation of Gomer (Ezekiel 38:6), an enemy of the Assyrians invaded Asia Minor by coming down from an area around the northeast shore of the Black Sea. Archeologists know that the militant leader called Gog in Ezekiel 38/39 led a confederacy of these nations against invading Gomer.
Gog is a historical man who the Greeks called Gyges of Lydia. In Gyges of Lydia we have the leader the Assyrians called Gugu, King of Ludu, and Gugu of Magugu, who is referred to in the Bible as Gog of Magog. Magog simply means the land of Gog. In Akkadian ma means land, so in Akkadian Ma- gugu means the land of Gugu, which becomes our Ma-gog. (Just as the Assyrian eponym for the land of the leader called Zamua is rendered as Ma-zamua). Magog is an eponym for the ancient nation of Lydia that was in the westernmost part of Asia Minor. The Assyrians often referred to a new land by the name of the first leader they learned of from this land. The Assyrians dealt with Lydia through Meshech, who were subsequently defeated by Gomer, and thus the Assyrians finally came to deal with Lydia directly. In the prophecy of Ezekiel 38/39 Gog is being used as a historical type of the antichrist who is prophesied to come during the end times, and Magog is being used as a historical type of the land of the antichrist.
All of the "lands of the north" referred to by Ezekiel refer to the lands fo Anatolia (modern day Turkey) to the neo-Hittite kingdoms that arose after 1200 BC's collapse of the Aryanic Hittite Empire.

sorry but in this case the Israeli idea doesn’t make sense — replace Assad with WHAT? Alqaeda backed loonies? Assad is evil, but he’s the lesser evil..

The Russian eagle is not mentioned...

No direct hostilities are possible between Russia and Israel.
About a third of Israel’s population has Russian roots. They speak Russian, they have relatives in Russia. They are the most conservative part of Israel’s society (anti-peace warmongers as Bill Clinton called Russian Israelis). Even larger proportion of Russians in IDF.
Their relatives back in Russia are pro-Israel as well and they have influence.

Quite bizarre that Russia seems to be the only country with sense at the moment on the issue of Syria.Correct.

Russia of today is not the same as the Soviet Union. It is rapidly re-Christianizing... And they want to protect their Christian brethren in Syria — 10 to 20% of Syria is Christian and they are protected by Assad from the AlQaeda “rebels” who would exterminate them

Wrong. the "Syrian rebels" are alQaeda backed, sponsored by Qatar and Saudi Arabia. These have already vowed to kill the Christians in Syria and to relaunch war with Israel
Israel is better off with the devil they know -- Assad.

The Saudis want to destroy Assad because he is a secular dictator -- just as they used Bush I to destroy Saddam
With these secular baathist dictators gone, there is room for the Wahabbi/Salafi Moslem brotherhood to take over and kill all the infidels.

I find it confusing, to say the least, that you would support an Islamic state in Syria, to border Israel. You are arguing for the creation of a state run by religious leaders who ideologically believe that the Jewish people are their enemy.
There is a large difference between a secular state being against Israel and a religiously fanatical one being against it.
Look at how the Christians in Iraq have diminished, look at how the Copts in Egypt are getting treated, look at the Syrian Christians at how they have fled their country and the ones who remain are being terrorised by groups like al nusra(who have pledged allegiance to ayman al Zawahiri and al Qaeda)
We have supported the toppling of secular leaders for them to be replaced by sunni fanatics. In every circumstance idiots have been cheering for the downfall of ghaddafi and then Mubarak and now assad. WELL SAID!!
We need to support Assad as the secular evil fighting against the AlQaeda Wahabbi evil

you are wrong. Look around you and see the number of attacks by Sunnis versus Shias. Even on Israel. Israel’s real enemies are the Sunnis...

“Empty threats”? You mean like the current, sitting US President who is all bluff and no follow through? The Israelis usually say what they mean and mean what they say except regarding Iran because the US has clipped their wings with another Chamberlainesque, give diplomacy a little more time...

The bear is not the symbol of Russia. It was the symbol of the USSR. But prior to 1917 and post 1993 it has been the Russian Eagle (see my post 142)
The Bear in Daniel indicates the ancient Persian empire with the three ribs: Babylon, Lydia and Egypt in its mouth...
