Ted Cruz gets ire from Chris Matthews, Bill Maher, and Gail Collins
The Examiner ^ | May 25, 2013 | Mark Whittington

One thing can be said about Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, is that he attracts media ire as much as a Hollywood celebrity attracts paparazzi. If one’s worth is measured in the number of one’s enemies, Cruz is richer beyond the dreams of avarice.

Chris Matthews, the MSNBC talking head, left a blog post on May 24, 2013 that stated, without apparent irony, “Pay attention to Senator Cruz because he is the unsmiling, contemptuous face of the wild, nasty, hard-right fringe of a party that once competed with the Democrats to be the country’s governing party.”

Bill Maher, also without irony, took to his own blog, quoted by Newsbusters, and stated, concerning Cruz’s alleged presidential ambitions, “And you can bet the farm that he will run, because he's got Newt Gingrich's ambition and ego mixed with the steely-eyed focus of a serial killer. He's young and Cuban, like Rubio, but even Tea Baggier -- and totally unwilling to compromise with liberals on anything, including eating with a knife and fork.” “Tea Bagger” is a pejorative used against members of the tea party movement that is a reference to an exotic sex act.....

Greetings from Leyte...

Trolling is the only life some can follow. I won't bother to ping any trolls, as we all know the worth of their PDS trolling.

Their only need is to gain response. They cannot exist without fuel, and whenever a positive article comes out about Sarah Palin, they go into conniption fits. This thread reveals just another example of the same worthless mind!

In the meantime, to quote:

... at CPAC, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) introduced former Alaska Governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, whose endorsement enabled Cruz to ultimately get in the Texas Senate primary runoff in 2012 and win, and said he would not be in the Senate without Palin. "I would not be in the U.S. Senate today if it were not for Governor Palin," Cruz said in gratitude.

Cruz said Palin, like him, drives the mainstream media "bat-crap crazy" because she is "fearless," "principled," and "courageous" while the mainstream media wants conservatives to "shut up and accept defeat and be timid."

Cruz also simply said, "Sarah Palin picks winners," in reference to Palin's early support of candidates like Sens. Marco Rubio (R-FL), Rand Paul (R-KY), Pat Toomey (R-PA), and governors like Nikki Haley (SC) and Susana Martinez (NM), and former Rep. Tim Scott (R-SC), who is now the state's senator.

Palin, referring to Cruz as hailing from "Alaska's little sister state," praised Cruz as a senator who "chews barbed wire and spits out rust." She urged Americans to send more senators like Cruz to Washington.

Cruz:

They can attack me personally and insult me personally but I will not respond in kind. I have a point to make instead”

He kick butts

McCain has more than once expressed irritation at Cruz and his uncompromising version of conservatism. But it an ironic way, the former maverick from Arizona has only himself to blame.

In a fit of brilliance, when he was running for president in 2008, McCain chose the then obscure, but charismatic, telegenic, and capable then governor of Alaska Sarah Palin to be his running mate. The choice provided his campaign with a shot of energy, though not enough to overcome his own deficits as a candidate and the economic meltdown then occurring.

While McCain has sunk back to the obscurity of being a venerable senator, Palin, thrust as she has been in the national spotlight, has seen her stock soar. By her ability to lay hands on other political candidates and often give them the margin of victory, Palin has become the most powerful female politician on the planet, despite the fact that she holds no political office and has seen her political obituary written so many times and so thoroughly prematurely that it has become a cliché....

Yeah, do you see Governor Sarah Palin’s name anywhere in the title of the article? I’m surprised someone’s not here with a sandwich order.

Born in Canada. More American than most Americans.
Cruz is the pride of Texas and a modern day Aetius to our imperiled Republic.

Don’t get me wrong..I love and respect Sarah.

But actually, her endorsement meant little to us that supported him. It was a good number of people, obviously.

Cruz is a politcian. I never forget that. He will compliment Sarah because it would be kinda crazy not to.

The people of Texas said NO to Dewhurst. And not because of Sarah.

McCain refused to see the way his staff treated Sarah .. but we noticed.

He has long ago used up his 15 minutes of fame.

However, I believe I read his mother was an American citizen, and there was something else unusual about his birth .. something that makes him a natural born citizen.

RE :”While McCain has sunk back to the obscurity of being a venerable senator, “

Vulnerable?? He's got four more years to cause trouble,

Since the last 2012 election McCain has caused nothing but trouble supporting all Obama’s major agenda items in the Senate. Gun control, taxes immigration, spending, everything Obama needs for his progressive legacy.

The Senate is NOT irrelevant. The House passage of Reids VAWA AS IS proved that.

McCain is a huge problem and it looks like he has decided to cause as much damage as possible before he retires.

Grahamnesty irks me even more than McCain does.

Venerable not vulnerable is what he said. Venerable as in ‘old and respected but generally useless’.

Definitely best of the 2010 class. There are some other good ones. Inhofe comes to mind.Sessions seems good. Toomey is ours but seems to have faded into the woodwork.

I can say without equivocation, Ted Cruz is the best senator that this country has seen in decades

Without a doubt. Cruz is very impressive.

I have no doubt that the RINOs and the evil left will soon be in total destroy mode against Ted Cruz.

I am certain that Cruz knows what is coming.

I pray he remains resolute in the face of the utterly corrupt and vile politicians of both parties that infest D.C.

Big difference, Cruz is in the Senate causing BIG headaches for them and not not selling out to FNC Greta for $$$. He is the real deal.

You do realize that he gave the introduction for Sarah at this year's CPAC.

Cruz stated that without Sarah's support, he would NOT be in the Senate.

Sarah is a very positive force for Conservatism.

She will make a strong push in 2014 to help Conservatives take on the Statists of both parties.

Obama’s IRS will make sure that Democrats/socialists win every close election in 2014 as Obama’s IRS did in 2012

Cruz is a great Senator.

Go kick ass Senator Cruz. It’s about damn time someone in the GOP stood up and had a spine.

This article just reinforces to me the democrats are scared of Ted Cruz and have started the seek and destroy campaign.
