Dear colleagues,
The recent news about the FBIs seizure of the phone and email records of Fox News employees, including James Rosen, calls into question whether the federal government is meeting its constitutional obligation to preserve and protect a free press in the United States. We reject the government's efforts to criminalize the pursuit of investigative journalism and falsely characterize a Fox News reporter to a Federal judge as a "co-conspirator" in a crime. I know how concerned you are because so many of you have asked me: why should the government make me afraid to use a work phone or email account to gather news or even call a friend or family member? Well, they shouldnt have done it. The administrations attempt to intimidate Fox News and its employees will not succeed and their excuses will stand neither the test of law, the test of decency, nor the test of time. We will not allow a climate of press intimidation, unseen since the McCarthy era, to frighten any of us away from the truth.

Ailes did not say Palin is an idiot. At least not in the link you posted.
Amen.
...Ailes has been trying to quietly cozy up to the Obama Regime, and now its come back to bite him....
&&&
Exactly. He backed down from the Saudis and from Soros.
As a general comment -— Why is the media focusing on the Fox wiretap? I realize this story is about Ailes. But what happened to the CNN wiretaps? That sort of faded away. Hmmm. It seems the backdrop of these stories should be that obama admin is targeting the press - CNN and Fox - and not be limited to Fox.
I couldn’t agree more about Wallace. There are tons of unbiased journalists who should have been given that spot.
I’m disgusted with the entire “fair and balanced” tripe. I watch FOX to get the factual news, not to listen to the likes of Beckel (sp?) and Juan Williams spew the liberal talking points of the day.
EODGUY
Ailes would have been wiser to invest in cryptography for his phone lines and emails. OpSec is critical to newsgathering in a liberal run world.
They all need to go!
LLS
Was that from his biatch-fight over a parking space in Tallahassee during Bush-Gore?
Ole Miss shouldn’t mess with them Noles folks
Exhibit A ....
However, in Ailes and Fox' defense, they are the CLOSEST thing we have to a free press and deserve credit for providing a platform for the only conservative voices (Megyn Kelly?! ... and others) that we hear in national media today.
Any organization that causes such pain and hatred in liberals has got to be a good thing overall. Thank you for that Roger Ailes.
“They all need to go!”
I’m guessing Ailes will retire soon.
He contributed alleged support for American values to the anything-but-Benghazi headlines today, and he’s 73.
I guess it depends upon whether endorsing John McCain is smart....
He was right about the idiots with no political experience we ran like O’Donnell. She lost after all.
Guess I never really thought about it, I dislike him as a news person so I don’t watch him, but like i said, I ain’t surprised.
Nice. lol
“...unseen since the McCarthy era...”
Dear Mr. Ailes:
McCarthy was on OUR side.
Regards,
An American
I’ve noticed they started to turn left around the same time you said they did. Also, years ago there was an english freeper here who warned all of us about murdoch, how he bought stations, leaned right and eventually turned leftist. Maybe his time has come to do that to the American People. And shep? I thought they have been squeezing him out of his job. i have noticed he’s not in his spots more than he is. Being Gay? My gaydar was on him a long time ago. I never watch his shows either. Hopefully someone will get the point with all of us changing. :D
We need a few hundred aggressive Jay Sekulow type lawyers that process lawsuits up the wazoo against this rogue government that it has to spend its time defending their positions.
Juan Williams is such a dope. Is he there just for entertainment mindless rebuttal value? Rarely does he offer thoughtful analysis IMO.
I cant help but chuckling at the left-promoting news organizations crying foul and feigning outrage. Time after time history hath shewn that as soon as their most fervent hopes become manifest - the leftist coup is achieved - they are the first marched to the wall and summarily dispatched.
I have no explanation for it. Sure, this is a warning sign, like the husbands open-handed strikes becoming a fist for the first time. But they will never leave... the Media and the Left: till death do them part.
