At the Senate committee hearing today on the IRS targeting scandal Senator Mike Enzi said the IRS is even targeting Christian churches in Wyoming.
Acting Commissioner Steven Miller, former Administrator Doug Shulman, and Inspector J. Russell George testified today in front of a senate committee.

I guess if the one with the gold is making the rules, or the tax breaks in this case, then you do what they say or, heaven forbid, you pay taxes like everyone else. Some non-profits do good, but I just don’t feel that sorry for them. Now if they are pulling this stuff on tax payers, that’s different.
Well, heck! As long as the IRS isn’t picking on Muslims or blacks, what could the problem be? It’s what’s called “irrelevant” in aristocratic Washington, D.C. circles, isn’t it?
Well, if these IRS demons could stand it, they could determine the membership of the CHURCH by reading the (drumroll . . . ) BIBLE.

Wouldn't surprise me if the IRS is asking for lists. My church and some of the surrounding churches had a letter writing campaign against the HHS mandate and abortion funding in Obamacare. I fully expected our information was being entered into some kind of database for potential consequences of some kind. After all, haven't we been labeled as potential domestic terrorists by DHS?

I think it’s time for everyone to submit FOIA requests to the IRS for everything the IRS has on them.

Proof positive is the IRS enforcing BammyCare. Congress should vote on a Bill to completely remove the IRS from it. Let Harry (the booty) Reid crush it as DOA. Talk about political ammo.
I have some very limited experience with this stuff..
keep in mind that charitable organizations are comprised of tax payers who do pay their taxes. Charitable organizations donate their money to various causes (ie they can’t and don’t keep it for themselves)
it seems that one of the reasons the IRS is targeting conservative groups is to find out who is in them to target individuals
now I may not support the goals of every charitable 501C3 or 4 but other people do and they have a right to give their money as they see fit.
Lets all just claim membership at the left’s favorite church and founding patron — Saint Saul of Alinsky.
The constitution and its bill of rights were designed to place limits on the power of the three branches of government. The regulatory agencies are a fourth branch which was designed to get around those limitations.
There is no bill of rights where IRS, EPA, and the other alphabet agencies are concerned. They do what they want and you can just like it or not like it.
