We have been targeted by our government, and that’s a problem. Once they get done with us, they are coming after everybody else.”
The growing controversy over the IRS targeting of Tea Party groups is “like hitting a Tea Party hornet’s nest with a baseball bat,” said Scott Ferson, a Democratic strategist with the Liberty Square Group. “The scandals, the IRS issue, it’s going to agitate the Tea Party population,”
And leaders with local and national Tea Party groups said interest has jumped since the scandals broke less than two weeks ago.
“My phone is ringing off the hook,” Hernandez said. He said he’s received at least 20 calls from people who want to join in the past few days.
“There’s a fire that has been lit. It has rejuvenated the Tea Party,” Hernandez said. “We will come a lot stronger now.”
Judson Phillips, with Tea Party Nation, based in Richmond, Va., said, “I’ve talked to Tea Party leaders across the country who are hearing from people who have never been involved, or people who have dropped out, because they are so outraged.”
Tripp said 60 people showed up at last week’s meeting, the most since last fall. Christine Morabito of the Greater Boston Tea Party said her group has added at least 25 people since the scandals broke.

I'm rooting for you. Every time you get the urge, and it's a powerful urge, just say to your self, "I'll wait five more minutes." That helped me a bunch.
I’ll second upchuck. Four years ago I tosses all smokes and smoking related items in the trash.
When the urge comes, occupy your mind with something else for a few minutes; the urge will pass.
