Two agents with the FBI's Hostage Rescue Team died in a training accident off the coast of Virginia Beach Friday.Both were assigned to the FBI's Critical Incident Response Group, which is part of the Hostage Rescue Team . The Medical Examiner's Office told WAVY.com it could take weeks or even months to determine a cause of death for the two men.

When’s the last time an FBI agent was killed in a training accident?
Last Friday, according to this article.
Why would it take months to figure out a cause of death? This story provides very few details. Were they just laying there with no injuries? This makes no sense.
Has the Hostage Rescue Team ever rescued a hostage?
Since 1983, I am guessing the answer is yes. And another guess is that it does not make the news.
I wonder if their hands were ziptied and their heads were hooded when they had their “accident.” At this point, I’d like to know some more details. I was on tons of parachute, boat, sub and helo ops all around the VA capes, and I’d like to understand the modality of death, and the type of training mission. At this point, I’d almost imagine two whistle blowers being eliminated the Argentina dirty war way. But then, I’m a novelist with a wild imagination. (Remind me to stay away from helos, even Navy helos. That’s what the Argentine military used. Those to be disappeared at sea were cuffed, hooded, sedated with a syringe, put on Navy helicopters, and dropped into the ocean.)
Well, we know they sure showed those kidnappers at Ruby Ridge and Waco back in the early ‘90s.
That one in the cave/bunker aabout 2 months ago. Other than that, the shady secret squirrel answer, “of course, but we are so secret, we can’t tell you what we have done”. (conveniently meaning that they never have to prove theiir value)
The other dirty secret about FBI HRT is that they are barely FBI agents anyway. They are military Delta and SEAL types that were “sheep dipped” into a civilan role as “FBI Agents”. But they really arent law enforcement.
And this is why they will have military accidents. They were formed in 1982. The US leaders saw the SAS raid on the Iranian embassy in London in 1980, and felt sad that THEY didn’t have a cool unit too.
Why would it take weeks or months to know cause of death???
If it was in fact a training accident then the cause should be forthcoming — unless it wasn’t a training accident.

Speaking of that, when are we going to see the next Dan Kilmer adventure?

Why?
Because our government lies to us, constantly, and about almost every topic they mention. The lies usually revolve around ensuring the covering up of incompetence, or wrongdoing. It might be to insulate a defense contractor who built a crappy product. Maybe they didnt have some gear they should have had. Maybe a sequestration “show cut” like air traffic control or something caused the deaths and THAt needs to be hidden.
Or even something as simple as they just think it’s a bad week to discuss it politically.
But they simply will never tell us the truth.
