Has the Hostage Rescue Team ever rescued a hostage?

Since 1983, I am guessing the answer is yes. And another guess is that it does not make the news.

Well, we know they sure showed those kidnappers at Ruby Ridge and Waco back in the early ‘90s.

That one in the cave/bunker aabout 2 months ago. Other than that, the shady secret squirrel answer, “of course, but we are so secret, we can’t tell you what we have done”. (conveniently meaning that they never have to prove theiir value)

The other dirty secret about FBI HRT is that they are barely FBI agents anyway. They are military Delta and SEAL types that were “sheep dipped” into a civilan role as “FBI Agents”. But they really arent law enforcement.

And this is why they will have military accidents. They were formed in 1982. The US leaders saw the SAS raid on the Iranian embassy in London in 1980, and felt sad that THEY didn’t have a cool unit too.
