I was about to snap a response that democracy is no guardian against the left. That has been historically proven but it occurred to me that what we are really talking about is liberty versus tyranny, not as political ideologies but as religious beliefs. The political belief follows the religious belief. Either liberty is a God given right or it isn’t.
I’m sorry my thoughts are not completely formed on this but your question hit me just at the right time to question the difference.

You are assuming that since leftwing indoctrination is the purpose of the public schools, and it is, then the children in them will be indoctrinated.
But that is not necessarily true. Children understand when they are lied to and if the parents give their children support at home, they will grow up immune to the indoctrination. It is however important to discuss issues of religion and social policy with your children and give them intellectual tools to combat the leftwing propaganda they receive at the school.
Liberals take half the country and conservatives the other half. They could not make it one year. Imagine how great this world would be without liberals. The sad truth is conservatives are the matrix.
I think that we cannot confuse democracy with liberty. We are now observing the process of rapid loss of liberty under the banner of democracy: in a nation that (1) has lost its national identity and (2) has over 50% of electorate in a client of the state condition democracy works against liberty.
That is the important difference. To what extent the political discourse is at core a religious discourse is not an important issue. A desire to separate the religious and the political in a person is in itself giving in to the leftwing lie.
That is not the difference I’m talking about. Again, I have not completely formed my thoughts on the idea I want to express. My apologies for any confusion.
“Democracy” is a fancy word for “mob rule”.

The Barna Foundation did a study on children from active evangelical homes. Only 15% were active in their faith 2 years after graduation from the socialist-entitlement high school.
In contrast:
95% of the homeschoolers were active.
Question:
So?....If the results are this bad for children in Christian homes and this **good** for Christian homeschoolers why would you believe it would be different for political and cultural outcomes for those children attending the godless Prog run K-12 schools ( government owned and private) s?

My thought was about our religious beliefs informing our political opinions. The left definitely believes in elitism, that a few are fit to rule and many are only fit to be governed. That coincides more with Islam than Christianity. Liberty is a Judeo-Christian belief and all men are entitled to liberty having been created in the likeness and image of God. Hence, we seek a form of government to recognize that belief. That left rejects that creation equality and asserts society would be better if the “best and brightest” (which is them of course) made all decisions. Similarly, Islam is to be ruled by religious experts.
Of course, I do reject that democracy is the best form of government because I do value liberty and know that mobs are ruled by passion, not reason.
Again, my apologies for spurting this out but I think we are basically in agreement. Your question triggered a thought that I should have held until it was reasoned.
The left is actually right that society would be better if the “best and brightest” made all decisions. Of course they are wrong that the “best and brightest” is them.
Leftism is a virulent disease. It is especially catchy for lazy people and losers of all types. The problem also is growing leftism makes comfortable environment for losers, their number is growing and makes explosive at one point for both leftism and next batch of losers who are learning their quasi-religious ways to push around talented people. Affirmative action, language control, liberal education etc.
In short: leftism is a kind of cult. A religion of losers.
Can you coexist? The most immediate result of breeding losers is inability to get things done. Rundown buildings, leaky pipes, potholes on a roads, ‘green’ cars catching fire, spies with cheap wigs. Well, it is not that overwhelming as it looks like. Just look at the Eastern Europe or Latin America. Leftism has extremely deep roots there but they still can’t get 100% leftist as soon as there are always a few very convincing ‘right-wing nuts’ around. Ukraine and Argentina are perfect examples. Both are deeply infected with leftists but once for a while there is a remission.
Do you want it here? The price of coexistence are mostly an economic conditions. Ukraine is a major European nation in terms of population and territory but their GDP per capita and quality of life are in a class of Philippines and Paraguay. Argentina is much better but still in class of Romania and Kazakhstan (far behind once 100% leftist Poland or Russia).
P.S. It is better to defeat leftism than coexist at a price of being a 3rd world hellhole. The problem it is not all that easy as soon as you play by leftist rules they’ve set.
They need our money to support themselves

I pray you will take the warnings of God’s Word seriously and accept His generous offer of salvation before it is too late to do so. His love is worth whatever you may be called on to suffer.
It really depends on what you mean by a “better society” and the arrogance of anyone who believes they have that answer. The pursuit of happiness, if we accept that as a God given right, is an individual determination. I don’t need someone else’s idea of utopia to be happy and I can be happy without denying anyone their rights. I would be quite unhappy to be directed by someone else’s concept of happiness.
In all but the rarest of cases, it's indeed the case that 30 hours a week of leftist indoctrination over the course of 13 years, captures the minds of young people in the grip of Communist ideals.
Decent (but naive) conservatives who argue that concerned and engaged parents can overcome the constant social immersion and political mind melding that goes on in the public schools, are simply whistling past the graveyard.
We've been home schooling our kids for about twelve years now, and despite them never being exposed to the incessant brain molding of the public schools, it's incredibly hard to keep the left's hands off them. It still touches them through television, internet, 'music', and local playmates.

IMHO we are seeing the effects of demoralization. When liberty loving, God fearing people seriously talk about tearing up the greatest republic ever created then the left has won. Its exactly what they want and any discussion of fracture is falling into their trap.
The Constitution is one of our founding documents. To believe what is said in the document is to have faith in the concept that it represents. The mission of the left is to change the perception of the concept. Once the majority of people give up their faith then this founding document has no bearing.
Once we all believe the Republic is dead then it is. The left wants us to lose our faith as an ideology. Once we are out of the way, it makes it easier for total take over.
We can never give up the fight.

For conservatives, rather than secede, a passive move, there should be action. The action is to purge.
That is go on the offensive and declare for starters, all the Northeast, to be purged from America. The northeast has degenerated into Euro loyalist leftism. Those states north and east of New York have lost their American values and simply need to be thrown out of the union. They are not only not required but are a detriment.
If they are gone, the normalcy might return geographically. The cities elsewhere will remain leftist enclaves but with the North east block purged, politics will shift.
It’s an impossibility for those who want freedom to live together with those who want to enslave them. Like it or not, we are heading for a major confrontation. What will set it off is anyone’s guess.
The elitists and their useful idiots are at a disadvantage because they’re all bunched up in big, liberal cities which are dependent on areas controlled by patriots. You learn in basic training that you all don’t jump in the same foxhole because that can get your entire squad killed.
The other problem elites have is that they have no warrior culture. The American leftist has demonstrated time after time that they will turn and run when violently confronted. They depend on kabuki theater and Sun Tzu techniques to keep the mob from ripping their throats out.
This situation will come to a head and explode soon.
